History/Biography

Born into a wealthy family along the north-western shores of Quel'thalas, Dionysa Renna Sei'thas was the eldest of two children, and often viewed as the favorite to her father, Dartimos Sei'thas; who was seen in more respectable times as a retired war mage. Dionysa would often times accompany her father on business ventures throughout Quel'thalas, mainly just because her father would often times let her guide the hawkstriders at a fast pace through the country-side. Something her mother would never have permitted. From her father, Dionysa learned how to get what she wanted from almost anyone through simple white lies to blackmail. Over the years, she watched what appeared to be a brilliant mind at work.

With the constant pushing from their parents to become productive members in society, the Sei'thas children were placed into the care of a private instructor who taught them how to use their natural gifts in a number of ways and strengthen them through long hours of training. As the years of dedication and hard work persisted, Dionysa's brother had decided that he would further his training within their homeland military; whereas Dionysa took up the position of apprentice to the striking Magister Iain Sunchaser in Silvermoon City.

Dionysa found that she had never met anyone quite like Iain. It appeared that no matter what he had touched was spun into gold. He had a sharp mind, a quick tongue and at times could make Dionysa feel as though she were inferior one minute and then the rarest of treasures the next. He was both powerful and brilliant, teaching her a great many of things and thus putting her closer to her dreams of becoming a war mage like her father.

One thing that was unexpected, was when Dionysa discovered that she might have been falling for the Magister. It wasn't until after the borderlands of Quel'thalas were attacked, when the Magister had been badly wounded, that the two had fallen in love. Fearing for his life, Dionysa had remained at his bedside probably much longer than what was expected of her. It was no question then; she and Iain had found solace within each other and belonged together.

The Magister had made a full recovery a couple months later, and, the two were wed upon Dionysa's family estates. Her parents couldn't have been happier at the time, as the festivities temporarily took their minds off of the grief of losing their son where the Magister had been injured only months before.

With life starting to wind down into a calmer pace, Dionysa had found herself pregnant with their first child, who would later carry the name, Caitira, after the Magister's fallen mother. With the birth of their first child, one would think that the couple would have been brought even closer. Unfortunately, that was not the case and thus, a downward spiral of a distancing relationship began, and, continued through the many years that followed; even after the birth of a second daughter, Kiyuri.

Now a more than capable war mage, Dionysa found her hours of work quite flexible, taking up an apprentice and often times taking her daughters along with her whenever she had business to attend to. As her husband had taken up a new position at the school on Duskwither Grounds, Dionysa started to see him less and less.. It was during this time of near loneliness that Dionysa began to wonder if her husband's excuses was to be believed completely. She had fallen into a deep depression, and with the rumors now circulating of a plague outbreak south of their elven home, Dionysa started to fall ill from time to time.

With a new threat looming over the horizon, Dionysa didn't think too much about it. Prideful ignorance that would soon turn her life upside down. About a week before the Scourge invasion, Dionysa had been traveling through Eversong, determined to locate her husband and tell him that she had had enough. She wasn't too far off from the area he had been working when sounds of pleasure echoed all around the lush environment. With her curiosity peaked, and her blood boiling, Dionysa ventured closer to the source of this "good time" and, to her horror discovered his apprentice, wrapped up in the arms of her husband. Neither of the two seemed to notice the scornful gaze of Dionysa nearby until the tree they had been frolicking under, burst into flames. Whether she had managed to injure them, Dionysa did not know for she had disappeared through a portal to Silvermoon, conjured in terrible haste. Her one goal now was to pack up her belongings and flee to the north-western shores of Quel'thalas with her very confused children.

When the dead had finally swept through the elven lands, she remained at the side of her children and hid them well under the Sei'thas manor. Yet, none of this went without consequences. With the Sunwell tainted and then order destroyed by Kael'thas Sunstrider, Dionysa, like everyone began to feel a detachment from it and started to go into withdrawals. Her father seemed to suffer the worst out of the family and eventually drove himself insane. Fearing that this could become even more disastrous for her children, Dionysa, along with her father didn't think twice when they had heard rumors of Kael'thas' plans of venturing into Outland and was one of many to follow him. Something had to be done and vengeance would be served all in due time.

During her time in Outland, Dionysa, like many, was introduced to a new source of magic by siphoning chaotic energies of demons. This was new to Dionysa and often times degrading. Yet with the magic withdrawal so strong, Dionysa had little room to care. Her father seemed to lose himself in these new magic sources and would eventually drive himself insane upon his return to Quel'thalas, years later, as a wretched.

When Illidian had led a charge back to Azeroth, the elves wasted no time in following him along with Kael'thas to Northrend. The time for revenge was here. Now. Arthas would pay for what he did. With Dionysa's dangerous addiction to this new source of magic there was no question in her mind that she would partake in this. It was during the encounter with Arthas and his massive army of the dead, where Dionysa had lost her life along with many others.

But it did not end here for the fallen.
