History/Biography

Born into a family of noble rulers of a costal province in the west of Quel'Thalas, Daras has always been entreated to a rather easy life. He was raised to be a gentleman and a wizard. When he was old enough, he traveled to Dalaran and became an apprentice there. He graduated from the Dalaran University with flying colors and became a scribe to one of the Kirin Tor's archmagi. His dilligence was noted after years of service and he was given the position of curator of the Elders' Tower, one of Dalaran's largest libraries.

Shortly before the Second War, Daras withdrew from his position out of home-sickness, and returned to Quel'Thalas. He remained in his hometown for a few years while the Second War ensued. Daras was relatively unaffected by the war. He later went to study in Silvermoon. He left the Silvermoon Academy with degrees in Magic History and Psychology. He bought a spacious residence there, overlooking four districts in the eastern part of the city.

During the Third War, Daras defended his home alongside his brother and his father. After the Battle of Silvermoon, Daras found that his brother had been killed. Shortly after the funeral service back in his hometown (which had been relatively untouched by the Scourge), Daras' father left with Prince Kael'Thas, leaving Daras in charge of the estate. Daras then appointed a council to run the estate (and report directly to him) while he stayed at his home in Silvermoon. Most recently, Daras has worked for the office of the Exterior of Quel'Thalas. He was appointed Convocate of the Exterior shortly after the disappearance of his predecessor.
