Original Challenge

I guess I'll post first today instead of right before midnight.

Okay, so this is really personal, maybe too personal, but I'm excited, and I don't know which of my old buds are still around and what names they go under now, so here we go!

WARNING: Boring Teng personal stuff. Which is like boring Teng story stuff, but minus most of the Teng (and some of the angst).

I'll repost what I sent out to people the other night.  I feel it communicates my feelings on the matter fairly well.

Ah HA! For now I get to post first :O (and only because there was no parking on campus so I missed class)

Hey all! Today's drawing Challege was Favorite Pet!  So get out those drawing sticks and doodle pads, and make something up :)

Alright, not to steal Castien's thunder- but I've got limited time to post this up before I go. :)

I like Moriurya's suggestion of starting a new blog daily to help folks post. So, even if you don't make something up today, and want to share! If you want to spam the front page, by all means- share the art!

Hi! Teng here again, I'm afraid I don't really have any new stories, but...oh God, Rethelia please PUT DOWN THE GUN! x_x

Anyway, wanted to say hey again, hope you all are still doing well, and have a great Winter Festival! Y'know, Christmas, Channakah, Wintereenmas, whatever.

Oh, and I'm still writing, by the way! I've been busy, but I haven't stopped. Unfortunately, it's stuff like this instead.

As a bit of a Christmas gift to myself, I commissioned this lovely picture of Rhia from Echo's player. It turned out beautifully. The back-drop is Stormwind at night, specifically the lake behind the Cathedral. There are a myriad of little details in the picture that really make it amazing - the waterfall in the distance, the outline of the rooftops of Stormwind, the Draenei tail/tendril bangles, etc.

Dear Haven community!

I wish to tell everyone that does not know me in RL and only on RiD I shall be taking a break from the game. I am sorry if you felt I was neglecting some stories I have started but fact is. I am and was. I’m sorry again for such short notice and posting on here! BUT! My account is down. I am also sorry if that sounded so rude or crude but I am honest and see no point in dolling it up. I was mean to friends and I am sorry. -hugs-

Just wanted to say hey, hope that everyone's having a good season (and has had a good year, or at least an okay one!). Also, Tengmas is on Friday. Will you go out and spread some of that good Tengmas grumpiness?! I hope so!  Or else the Sethlion gets it!

...I'm on the wrong computer, so you'll just have to pretend I inserted the Teng Whipping Sethlion image. Feel free to go wild with it. *waggles eyebrows*

After seeing the awesome pictures of Luck that Echo painted, I put in for a commission of Tairis (and her cat!). The results were even better than I had hoped for, and my hopes were pretty high! Behind the break you can enjoy it too :-)

As some pepole might have noticed, I haven't been in game for a while.  Real Life reared it's head rather suddenly and the whole family has been trying to roll with the punches for the past few months.  I've been turtling in my home as a way to cope and recently have been getting out of that shell.  While most of the art I've done recently won't ever be posted; some of it I'd like to share since it's been working on WOW ideas that have made me realize that so much time has past and I've barely been in contact with a handful of people in game.  You guys know who you are and thank you for the quiet support, you have no idea how much it helped.  I keep saying I will be back and I do mean it.

Originally I was going to make this a forum post in the Art Workshop section because it’s an OOC recap of trying to produce a piece of ‘art’ (Imagine the air quotation marks there from now on. Calling what I do ‘art’ is like boiling water for Ramen and calling it ‘cooking’.)  However the forum posts have the awkward commenting set-up where, if a discussion is spawned that extends onto a second page, the first post gets repeated and since it’s so huge I decided to blog instead – just in case someone wants to comment a lot with how to do stuff that would fix what I actually did  ;)  The reason why I've gone into excruciating detail here is that I wonder how many of us non-artistic types are on Haven.  How many others like me have never dared try anything because it seemed too hard?  We get a lot of art on Haven from people who have been drawing for years, but rarely do we get to see 'fail' or 'average' attempts.  So here I am.  Very bloody average indeed.

Critique/advice/corrections/spawned discussions are entirely welcome!
