Gilthånås' Journal: Page Seven
To Whomever reads this.
I never thought this would happen, I'm still reeling from the shock, and I am beginning to fear for my life. I cannot fathom what has taken place here and I can only assume that somehow, foul play was involved. That or Silvermoon politics are more corrupt or confusing than I could assume.
Hamlen Prideux was elected Convocate of regulation.
I did not expect to wake up on the day that marked my first full week back in Silvermoon, constantly checking my peripheral vision for guards I keep thinking are closing in. I still cannot understand the convocation's logic and right now i'm as on my guard as I could possibly be.
With Hamlen in the position of Regulation I honestly fear for the safety of Silvermoon's citizens, Hamlen has displayed time and time again from what I have gathered from informants, that does not care for the lives of individuals and follows the Law to the letter.
My own brief first meeting with Hamlen, when I was busted for carrying Bloodthistle, gave me an eerie first look at what Silvermoon is now going to be like with him in charge of the law and order of this city.
I have no doubt that the law will be followed.
But I also have no doubt it will be followed without mercy and the city will suffer for it.
Silvermoon is a extremely peaceful city, it makes my head spin to think that the Convocates decided they needed a mobile executioner to be in charge of Regulation.
I have also heard that there is an investigation into his actions prior to election, while this is good, I can see Hamlen arresting the person in charge of the investigation on the grounds of treason or conspiracy, so we'll see how long that lasts.
One thing is for sure, I have to keep my act straight, make sure I don't make any arrests or do anything to make him curious enough to look into my record more.
Today is a dark day, perhaps just from my point of view.
I hope to the light that it is the case that I am the only one to think this and that what I fear does not come to pass.

Avaraelia narrows her eyes
Avaraelia narrows her eyes slightly, both deeply thoughtful and rather not happy. "This is...most problematic. However, we will find ways around this as we always have and always will. We will simply continue our work from the shadows. Seek me out...there is much for us to discuss."
