Return of Agent D’arcmoon

{{first post for this toon and am unsure if anyone was already running something with SI:7. If so, then plz forgive my ignorance.}}

Prelude (1 of 3):

The tram was loud, but the young rogue still managed to fall into a light sleep despite the constant vibrating motion produced by the engine and friction between the rail and track. At her feet sat her luggage, a medium sized pack just big enough to hold a few traveling essentials. She was a girl of few attachments and preferred not to have much in the way of material objects without some sort of everyday use. Her monk-like lifestyle was the direct result of habitual traveling required by her occupation which occurred without much notice in most cases.

Such had been the case this morning when a telegram arrived at Honor Hold to be delivered directly to the hands of Agent Anthania.

A Visit to the Raven Hill Tavern

The thirtieth day of the eleventh month of the year 28

All eyes turned to the woman sauntering to the bar, some lingering longer than others. Her lips curled into a smirk beneath her mask as she recognized the women at the bar; Abbygail Walker and Erendis Ravenclaw. This was most certainly the right place.

Barbeque

((A little behind. Sue me =P))

“Bloody lovely,” Erendis muttered to herself, plugging her nose at the scent of the barbequed human corpse.  “This was supposed to be a fun night…”

She came to Raven Hill, for the first time in a while, at Abby’s invitation.  Their reunion after such a long time apart had been most pleasing.  Afterwards was a different story however.

An Evening Spent in Darkshire

I ran into Erendis tonight. I haven't seen her since before that horrible night in the Cathedral Library.

I had gone to Darkshire to scout out around Medivh's tower. Many adventurers and explorers have gone to the ruins of the town and the horrors within the tower itself. My friends were unable to make it to Deadwind, and so I went back to Darkshire and rented a room at the Scarlet Raven. I heard some men in the bar talk about the Order of the Shrouded Dawn opening a pub on the Carevin property, for adventurers meaning to go to Karazhan. Out of curiousity I decided to take a look.

Lux Perpetua

Eternal rest grant them, let Light perpetual shine upon them.

I don't come here as much as I used to, been busy, and I'm not up in the Plaguelands as much as I used to be. And well, I don't feel the need so much. I guess that's a good thing, even if it does feel a little like I'm betraying them. Hallow's End is about remembering the dead, at least for me anyway. There are seventeen people buried here, I won't ever forget that, even if it don't hurt as much as it used to.

Eternal rest grant them, let Light perpetual shine upon them.

Rising Shadow Part 09 - The Crypt

((Warning for mature/sexual content.))

Somewhere in the village, a rooster crowed. Cruel daylight stabbed through the open window of the bedroom, attempting to pierce open the mage's eyes. But, Erendis would have none of it. It had been a rough forty-eight hours. Sleep had not come easily. She did not want it to end just yet.

The rooster, however, was persistent in his mission. He succeeded in relatively short order. Bleary-eyed, Erendis sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She checked the bandaging on her hand ... it seemed to be healing well enough. She quickly dressed and found her way downstairs and into the common room of the guildhall, helping herself to a hurried breakfast.

The message, short and to the point, arrived just after breakfast.

Beggar's Haunt, the crypt. Tonight. Come alone.

Rising Shadow Part 05 - The Blood Magick

Erendis walked into The Slaughtered Lamb … her eyes adjusting to the dim light of the interior. She had to leave the Leaf abruptly earlier … there was some unfinished business which required her attention. When she returned, Abby had left the Leaf. So she came here to look for her.

Rising Shadow Part 03 - Investigations

In a long-forgotten room in the Sanctum, Erendis quietly read through a large stack of long-forgotten books. She had been at this for ... days it seemed ... without rest. Her desire to find something, anything, that could help Abbygail bordered on an obsession.

Rising Shadow Part 01 - Deceptions

((A bit of background. This is an ongoing storyline which Abbygail and I have been working on for quite some time now, since I first came to this server from Bloodhoof. The characters were much younger then and just beginning to get to know one another. A co-author credit for this episode goes to Abbygail.))

((Warning for adult/sexual content and situations. Nothing too graphic or X-Rated. Special thanks and a co-author credit to Abbygail, my RP partner in crime for the past, geesh, I guess five years now. =) Takes place a week and a half after "A Day at the Races."))

Erendis wandered through the fire-lit streets of Ironforge, the fiery braziers casting a long shadow of the mage on the wall of the tunnel. She was somewhat dejected, listening to the rhythmic click of her boots on the flagstones. For a week, she had been looking for Abbygail to no avail. When she arrived back in Stormwind, she immediately went to the Slaughtered Lamb. But, Abbygail had disappeared and had left no indication of where she had gone.

04. A Double Homecoming

I have been sitting and thinking now for what seem like hours. I am home again in my flat in Old Town. Oh, how I missed the City. The sights, the sounds, he smells, the feel of it. It’s good to be home again. I had to come back; I simply could not go on in the Outland any longer without touching base.

It is funny to think of this slum as home.

01. Another Sleepless Night...

Dear Diary… my how trite that sounds…

I can’t believe I am doing this; journal-keeping is so cliché. But, I have very little choice in the matter it seems. Since stepping through the Portal, the nightmares have returned with a vengeance. I don’t know why.

It is four bells past midnight local time. I sit in the common room of the Inn in Honor Hold. I can’t sleep. I need something to mark time until daybreak ... or what serves as daybreak in this hell hole anyways. So, I have decided to do this instead of stare blankly into the fire … like I did the last couple of nights.

The nightmares are the same, they always are the same. I find myself running through back alleys, trying desperately to evade some pursuer.

4. Starting Over

In the months since her return to Stormwind, Erendis had been very busy. She rented a small room in Old Town. But most of her time was spent in the Sanctum with Mistress Elsharin. There she learned everything and anything she could about Arcane magic.
