A Few New Powers

--The paper of the book seem fragile, the edges a little crisp to the touch. Each word looks more like a scorch mark rather than ink, though there are a few drops of the smooth black liquid at the top of the page.--

Dear Journal,

Of all the times for something strange to happen to me, I wish this one could have waited until after the festival of flame. After every odd iccident, after all the mishaps, this ... curse should stop invading me! I can't even write properly!

The Art and Science of Saving The World

The students slowly filed into the classroom, a buzz of excitement in the air. Many of thier parents still had thier reservations, but most of the children were far too excited about what they could possibly learn from this teacher to care. So excited in fact, all but the older males completely missed the slip of a girl with her feet on her desk in the back as they came in, her mammory glands underlined by the large book cradled in her lap.

The Second Pillar, Introduction

[I've come to the sanctuary of the cathedral for my first meeting with the emissary that the Prophet, Velen, has sent from the Exodar. The name, Vindicator Aelu Ulnoxeebahz, conjures an image of one of the draenei's mighty warrior-priests, adorned in shining crystalline plate armor. You can imagine my surprise reader, when I am approached by a lovely, dark-skinned draenei woman in simple white robes with spartan crop of white hair. She doesn't look the part of an awe inspiring warrior of the Light. She carries herself with an air of complete confidence however, and takes the seat across from me, setting down a single large ornately bound tome. There is something intangible about her, a sense of purpose and surety. Maybe I'm just imagining it. I can't read these people's expressions terribly well yet, though I've spent the last several months shuttling between their archives on the Exodar and here. She seems slightly sad and yet resolute. She holds her shoulders back, sitting very straight and poised as we make our introductions. Her common has a slight accent, but she obviously has a better command of our language than I do of hers.]
