It used to be an old nursery rhyme, one my Mother would sing at my siblings and I to attempt to keep us from disobeying she and Father’s words. Being the youngest, it worked the best for me.

The Shankill Butchers run tonight, you better shut your windows tight, they're sharpening their cleavers and their knives and taking all their whiskey by the pint.

A figure walked silent through the snow of Icecrown, a trail of huddled corpses, crimson frozen on fur-padded torn clothing behind him. New snow soaked up the wet freezing life, until it became ice, white pure snow covering, obliterating, forgetting. In one hand, the black armoured man held a string of glittering sparks; a chain of mithril, from which dangled a crystalline lotus frozen as if for eternity. In one belt pouch, a folded letter hand written, hand inked, in a script of a people he despised. Azure light flickered beneath his freezing eyelashes, squinted against the driving snow. His usually sleek graying hair whipped with the wind, his hood long since thrown back. Were he alive, his cheeks would be red from the cold and the wind, but though his body imagined that it was, he was not a living man.

These are the lyrics to a song I wrote, dedicated to Talth and Sabariel. As soon as it's done, I'd love to post the song here to see what you guys think. =)

He wanted me, of all people, to officiate his wedding.

It was all I could do to restrain myself from laughing at the whole situation. A paladin-turned-demon, binding a Death Knight and a Priestess together in marriage.

The bride was radiant in her dress of pure white, illuminated further by the last rays of sunset. The joy in her eyes that masked the nervousness of committing her life to the man who stood at her side before me...it stirred a thread in the heart of the paladin that was.

One of my favourite discussion threads on the RealmPortal was Satyra's "Songs That Remind You of Arpee".  I've decided I miss it enough to bring it here to Haven ^_^  (I did a search to see if anyone else had started one, but didn't find anything, so here's hoping.)

The basic idea was this: you're somewhere, listening to music, when a song comes on and makes you think "Hey, that reminds me of <insert character name here>". Then you post the song lyrics here.
