litmus test

Whenever I roll a new character and have fleshed them out a little I make sure to run them through the WoW Mary Sue litmus test!

This test uses a series of questions and checkboxes to determine whether your character is an original and compelling one, or a bloated husk of cliches and irritation.

As the text on the original Mary Sue test says-- sometimes things which are considered cliche or otherwise poor character traits CAN be handled well, and oftentimes I find myself looking for a way to play a cliche in a compelling and interesting way. However it can be generally agreed that the majority of the time, this is not the case, and hopefully this test will prove useful and provide insight that players can use to evaluate their writing and RP habits.
