Regret that Pretty little Secret

Someone called me 'pretty' today. The word is such a simple word that could be used in so many ways, yet I only have one use for it. My mother was very pretty.

Ways of the Worg

We have the wolf by the ears, and we can neither hold him, nor safely let him go. Justice is in one scale, and self-preservation in the other.
~Thomas Jefferson

They call him Stanley, but that is not his true name.

Small and timid, black as a moonless night, the tiny little worg bears none of the might of his people, none of the pride and power of the wild ones that roamed Silverpine like fierce shadows.  I've killed my fair share of them, but remorse is not their way.  Violence and strength, they understand.  Poor little Stanley, as he's called, knows none of this.
