And So I Run
(( Many photos with text after the break! ))
To Flee
She had to go. Somewhere. Anywhere.
Northern Star
The breathy melodic notes of a flute playing echoes through the rolling green and silver hills one last time before lowering the thick wooden instrument and turning the fox-helmed ranger’s attention down the western road into the eerily silent Silverpine Forest. As she and her wolf companion trot along, Silent Fox’s eyes keep careful watch of the tree line along the highway while her mind mulls over troubling thoughts, a common practice as of late.
‘The missing child, the mail bombings, nearly dying, nearly loosing The General, shadows of doubt hanging over whom I can trust...more than ever now that this bomber knows my birth name, perhaps knows I am the Fox of the Blackened Woods...what would I do if they tried to blackmail me?’ She bites her lip and crinkles the skin between her eyes. ‘Lord Maras is already beginning to suspect there’s more to me than a simple gardener.’ She recalls how quickly everyone strapped armor on over their pajamas when Miss Tess threw the enchanted bank bag down onto the floor when they came across the demons hiding in a secret room behind one of the bookcases in her Manor. She had hesitated, waited for everyone else to suit up before she approached the bag. None of them had expected her to fight alongside them, but when they charged into the demon’s lair, she quickly grabbed her bow and provided backup by continuously pelting arrows into the fray. It had not gone unnoticed, nor did the looks she received from Maras and Sindrasa escape hers. She was unsure if Synn had seen, but... ‘Synn is a warlock?’ Ari had never realized until that night and it made her uneasy.
Terror in the City
"Taneel? T-taneel?" Jasria's voice wavers as she runs through the streets of stormwind. Sweat beaded off her body her breath was staggered and heavy her eyes flitting about almost in a panic. Jas had just left Taneel's home making her way across the cathedral square when she saw a ghoul leap out at a guard. The creature killed the guard and seconds later he rose as another ghoul.
Her eyes had gone even widen when both turned their jibbering heads towards her and bolted straight towards her. Jasria could only scream before running as fast as she could away from the creatures.
Now she could only think of finding Taneel, to warn him, to find out what was going on. How did those ghouls get into the city? It made no sense to her. She didn't know how long she'd been running, but Jas knew she'd collapse soon and she still hadn't found taneel.
The Ritual part 2: Lex Talionis
The air in Tanaris despite the heat felt cold. I still couldn’t breathe, even with the vast sandy nothingness stretching out in front of me, I couldn’t breathe because Iloam’s cries still echoed behind me. I shook, and tried not to curl into a ball and sob, I never knew emptiness this complete.
I hadn’t noticed him there.....even though some part of me registered he had left the ritual once it had been completed.
Running from the Past
Janiil watches Taneel carefully, her usual stern cold manner gone. If Taneel hadn't been so tired he probably would of noticed the manic look of desperation in her face. She pretended to be getting ready to sleep in another bed as he dozed off. Looking over at him with a sad look speaking lowly and softly to herself.
"What a fool....he thinks he understands, but he doesn't. Doesn't even know who Azshara is." Glancing down at the ring on her right hand Janiil lets out a sigh. She raises her hand looking at the ring closer, the faded ornate A on it dazzling when it gives off the faintest glimmer. She purposely hadn't taken care of it, knowing that in its pristine state the ring glimmered brightly attracting attention now adays. But back then.....nothing could draw attention....from Azshara.
The Making of a Monster, Part Two
With the stink of raw rat on my breath and the slimy f’lassil salve glistening on my naked and bloody body, I began making my way toward Tranquillien in the hopes of finding a healer.

The Ascent, Part 4: Regret and Contemplation
Dried sweat, linen, oxen lowing nearby.
Talashar woke, disoriented.
Where was she? She rolled over, looking for Xistla, to wake her. Xis would know…had she been drinking? She resolved to complain that Xistla had let her drink too much again.
. She wasn’t there.
