Ilani washed away the gore, she would have a hard enough time impressing her benefactor without the stench of rot about her. It had not been hard to hire Laurethelas, for she didn't mind making her hands dirty for a good price... actually, she revelled in violence and destruction. Though, Ilani was glad she did not inform Laurai to all she was doing, now that the foolish elf had defected and become soft. The elf would die, with time.

She needed her other ally far more than she needed the elf though. Tricking a blood thirsty minion of an evil trollish deity to help her was no difficult task. However, fooling a zealot of the Light, a paladen with absolute hate of all things fel in her heart, into being her main benefactor was no easy feat.
