Elementium Knights

(( The title says it all!  As several players have opted to play along with the mysterious aphasic condition suggested in this thread, I figured we were due for an update on where things currently stand.  While I'm very much open to creative suggestions on how to solve the mystery (as they'd likely be much cooler than what I've got in mind), a few people have expressed interest in figuring out my intended solution.  Ergo, news and clues can be found below the break!

Azeroth is an astonishingly complicated place to live, and if you don't know what the fel you're doing, it's also an astonishingly easy place to die.

Fortunately, there are a few rules of thumb that savvy adventurers rely upon in moments of doubt.  Chief among these is "size always matters", or the belief that the magnitude of a given threat is directly proportional to the hugeness of the entity responsible.  Most gnomes dispute this claim on general principle, but one cannot deny the evidence at hand!  Powerful leaders are often inordinately tall by the standards of their race, from humongous humans like King Varian Wrynn and Jaina Proudmoore to freakishly large foes in the field.  Champions of Northrend who have laid eyes upon the Lich King estimate his height at somewhere between eleven and fifty-eight feet tall, depending on who you ask.

As often as this rule applies, however, it is far from infallible.

The Elementium Knights are an Alliance fellowship working to combat the insurgence of destructive elemental entities on Azeroth and beyond.  For the week of XXXIV.I.V, we have compiled the following information to keep the Alliance abreast of our most recent activity.

In the gelid reaches of Icecrown, thousands of Alliance and Horde adventurers lend their collective might to the Ashen Verdict in laying siege to the Lich King's stronghold.

Penelope Celeste Retrogear is entirely oblivious to this, and wants to go to the desert.

Every Tuesday evening at 6:00pm server time, the simple-minded but fervently dedicated gnomish warrior Maggie Firebrand leads a team of Alliance adventurers into the lava-filled caverns deep beneath Blackrock Mountain.  The mission?  Thin the numbers of the Firelord's ranks, and acquire tools to better strike them down.  Any Alliance character of level 60 or greater is welcome to attend these in-character expeditions.  I'll try to keep this event post updated so it always shows in the calendar.
