On Commonwealth, RRR & Disappearing Gnomes

(( I debated whether or not to post this, but being in a guild management position, I figured it was the easiest way to make things known.  I'm sticking the pertinent stuff above the break, feel free to skip the rest to avoid my ranting and QQing.

Roseate Relic Recovery will continue to exist as a guild, as Cheridy has generously offered to wear the guild leader hat.  Mary Jinkwicket is still Co-Administratrix, but will not appear in-game for the foreseeable future.  Assume she's spending a lot of time in the shop, handling paperwork and being her usual self.  Shadowspark Institute still exists and operates under RRR's auspices.

Commonwealth has been struggling on life support and will likely just fade away.  If the tiny handful of folks remaining want to find another guild, no hard feelings.  Lisa Graviton will also continue to exist off camera and in the background.

The same applies to my remaining characters Diana, Lulu, Mag, Maggie, Rabbly, Saphrona, Termina and Veronica.  Nobody will be ICly disappearing or dying ... well, except for Lineah, but she's already thoroughly dead.

Barely a Moment to Breathe in Daylight.

She winced as she felt her knee scrape the ground, her eyes slightly blinded by the dawn's first rays,  as the snow left on her boots from Kharnos, made her boots slick on the polished stone streets of Dalaran.  She had to return and be ready for a scouting mission for the gnomes by Midnight, making the portal the fastest way to get her shopping done.  She was after a few special components from the Alchemy shop and after a brief time of small talk and haggling, she walked outside.  Maybe it was fate that she heard a group of adventurers discussing how they were short a person.

"We need only one more person, someone who can hit hard and scout around."

"Someone who isn't afraid of the unknown."

Concerning Commonwealth and Shadowspark Institute

(( I don't know quite how to word this, so I'll keep it short.  I hope the folks affected will be understanding.

Commonwealth Event Rescheduled

(( Just a quick notice for those planning to attend tonight's Commonwealth event in Kharanos -- it has been bumped forward to Friday the 25th, as the intrusion of Real Life™ (i.e. sudden rescheduled early Father's Day shenanigans) may prevent me from making it online with sufficient prep time.  This is just as well, as I appear to have forgotten to actually post the event announcement.  Embarassed  Have a happy Friday and see you in Kharanos next week! ))

Subtle reminders...

Curlaina climbed down from the back of the gryphon.  Stretching, she looked around the landing area.  To the young priestess, it seemed different and oddly familiar.  She'd been here before, of course.  On a couple of occasions, she'd been sent by the Abbey to study the troubles there.  Later, the Cathedral had sent her to try and help with those same troubles.  But every time she came here, there was a sense of deja vue, that there was something more.

Walking down the hill towards Darkshire, she continued to look around.  The watchers were stationed around, doing their duty as normal.  The inns,  the forge, the town hall, all standing as normal in the town.  There was nothing out of place.  People coming in and out of town quickly, trying to take care of their business without stopping any longer than necessary.

Interview with ze Commonwealth

To mein dearest sister Migli,

I haff news of a most exciting nature! Yesterday I was being interviewed for potential membership in an organization of ze most prestigiousnature: ze Commonwealth. Zis is a group dedicated to ze protection of ze normal, everyday sort of peoples who are sometimes suffering during ze great battles und tragedies und things of zis nature. For example, in Stormwind it is not at all unusual to see great heroes of ze Alliance riding ze ice elekks at full speed und making ze bakers und guards und others of ze pedestrian nature jump aside in order to avoid being flattened. And these are humans, for ze most part, so you can imagine how dangerous it is for gnomes.

(Before you worry, I must be reassurring you that I always am very careful und am looking both ways before crossing ze street.)

An Unsent Letter- New People

Hey Bap,

Looks like I found some friends out here afterall.  They're people like me, getting by however they can, and they do it honestly too (that's not a given anymore...).  Still, I'm not sure that you'd understand them.

A number of slightly ragged and weather-beaten posters are sparsely distributed through Alliance towns and cities, usually found on bulletin boards, pillars and lampposts in high-traffic areas.  They appear to have been produced via some sort of low-end mechanical printing process, and only three colors of ink are used.
