Bureaucracy
Canal Street Curiosities: A Visit From The Constable
Ethelred Morley frowned at his runed copper rod and leaned back in the comfy chair he kept behind the shop counter. It was a slow morning in the store, and since there were no customers presently needing his attention, he decided to disenchant a bit of the lingering inventory. He wasn't having much luck in the endeavor, however, as upon touching the rod to an unsightly old cloak of a particularly garish color, it emanated but a single dull spark and a wisp of acrid smoke. Rather than breaking down into useful reagents, the unsightly rag remained just as offending as ever. Even more insulting, Ethelred now appeared to be in need of a new rod.
Routine
Get up as the sun's struggling to come over the horizon. I am not a morning person, but there's too much to do to stay in bed, even when Drauglos is home and so comfortable to curl beside.
Morning prayers and meditation cannot be skipped; I won't be able to get through the rest of the day without them. And a strong cup of coffee, which keeps me moving long enough to get through said rituals, as well as stretches. The physical exercise is meditation in itself, counting out time keeping the mind focused.
Milk, a piece of fruit, a slice of toast, a boiled egg; easily eaten as I leave and hurry back to the Keep. One of the few nights I haven't slept there, a break in the routine I've kept the last few weeks now. Light help us.

OFFICER’S REPORT (FILE COPY)
Case #: 481516
Reporting: Sir Sidoran Sunlash, Chief Security Officer of the Legion
(p.1) Regarding the Sexual Assault and Aggravated Harassment of Rhosyn (hereafter referred to as “the Victim”),
I interviewed the Victim early on the morning of 26/4. The statement she gave, paraphrased here due to technical difficulties with the recording equipment, was initially very similar to the statement given to Convocate Sebastien Kerwin (File Missing) and coincides with the report from Doctor Jakobus Nachtengaal (File Attached). New developments are detailed from Paragraph 3 onward, with notes included for the benefit of fellow investigators.
Red in Tooth and Claw
Elune's a bitch sometimes; that's the way nature is, after all. Like I've said before, the Light's nice when you want philosophy and all that, but when you want to get something done you need someone or something to pray too. Outsiders look at the Temple and only see the big stone front. That's just stage dressing, really. There's all sorts of schools, factions, sects, cults, and such. Some you can't tell apart and some might as well be worshiping a different goddess. And, frankly, some are just old feuds that have gotten themselves set in stone. It's gotten me in trouble a time or two, assuming I knew more about things than I really do. On the other hand, I don't have ten thousand years of bullshit weighing me down.
