What do you think you're doing?
So in the manner of a number of other posts I've made out of a cheerful desire to obsessively determine parameters for all of my characters, I'm inviting us to share with one another what exactly we as writers and actors feel our characters do when they're not onstage.
God, that's so Tom Stoppard.
But the point stands. When you're on your priest, what's your warrior doing? When you're offline, what are all of them up to? Do they garden? Cook? Clean? When you come back and someone wants to RP with your character, where were they?
For that matter, are there things we ought to consistently assume about your characters? Things you feel should go without saying but you end up saying anyway in descriptive passages of RP?
Here are my 80s and my major Horde character -
Aktarin Shadowsong:
Offscreen - Akkie spends her time going through piles of paperwork in her office, or doing sword and staff sets in the training grounds at the hall. She hunts with her beasts, but as the commander of a military order, transfers, requisitions, reports, and requests are a huge proportion of her offscreen time.
Assumptions - Aktarin's facial control is extreme. She looks like a faintly smiling statue 99% of the time. A 'smile' from her is a tiny twitch upward of her lips. She is never unarmed.
Ythgar Vinguld:
Offscreen - Ythgar spends a lot of time meticulously writing in leatherbound journals. He also sees petitioners while in Stormwind as a powerful and highly ranked Lordaeron noble - the refugee populace has a very interested advocate in his person. When he is in Dalaran, he is either at Theryl's townhouse or at the suite he rents on a more-or-less permanent basis at Hero's Welcome. Roughly three evenings a week he attends the nightclub he owns and checks in with the Quel'dorei manager of the place, a quiet fellow rarely seen. Every morning, Ythgar rises to train with pells and weapons in training yards which every home he has possesses, then enjoys a bath and a leisurely breakfast. He can be found schooling young horses at his rolling breeding farm in Redridge, or tending to his lands in the northeast of Lordaeron.
Assumptions - Ythgar does not ever sleep in a bed with any woman but Theryl. He is also never alone. A nobleman of his rank has a number of guards and servants constantly and subtly nearby, protecting his person or attending to his needs. He is always neatl attired unless expressly mentioned otherwise.
Mlakazar of Telaar:
Offscreen - She trains, meditates, prays. Kills orcs. Meditates some more. Prays. Trains. Kills orcs. Cleans her armour.
Assumptions - Mlakazar will never ever be anything but hostile to the Horde. Her attitude is steadily aggressive when around them.
Balla Fasseke Kouyate:
Offscreen - Balla tunes his instruments, tends his instruments, and spends about one to two hours every day seated at street corners or inns all over Azeroth, playing music and singing songs. He also spends a lot of coin buying people drinks and listening to their stories. Every once in a while he vanishes, ostensibly to tend to his family's land in the Gurubashi region of Stranglethorn. If he's in Dalaran, he's at the flat Iloam rents for him, and when he can, he spends time with his ginger-haired adopted Gurubashi lover.
Assumptions - Balla always has SOME instrument on his person. His accent is very precise, yet sufficiently exotic to show that his Orcish is a learned thing. His dreadlocks are ornamented with cowrie shells and beads, and he wears a cylindrical medallion. When he's more intoxicated, his accent sounds like this. He always seems to be in a good mood unless it's clearly mentioned otherwise.

Tesstirina
Tesstirina Windstalker
Offscreen - She spends her times visiting the cities and hanging around with friends, she may be enrolled in military service with Shryndael but she's still just a kid and she acts like it. Though she does spend time honing her skills in combat and studying scrolls under the guidance of Sinsaria's teachers she is more likely running the streets of Dalaran and Silvermoon just having fun. Tess herself doesn't own a home so her abode's location is wherever somebody offers her a bed, Inn, the Dawningsun Estates, or a friends house.
Assumptions - Tess always keeps her book with her, it's a book of everything, her libram, songbook, and educational material. She also carries multiple weapons on her body, most of them hidden. Tess is fluent in common and understands basic Darnassian in addition to orcish and Thallasian.
Springs the Gnome Ranger
Offscreen - Sprigs is traveling distant lands, he's looking for the biggest of the big and baddest of the bad, he lives to collect renown. If a town doesn't know him as a hero he's probably out there trying to change it right now. If it's not that he's collecting trinkets and gifts for Pinapple.
Assumptions - Sprigs knows very little about technology, just enough to operate his mechanostrider and shoot a gun.
"To sing of finger bones and purple flowers."
Shryn'Dael (Sunwalker)
Shryn'Dael (Sunwalker) Dawningsun
Offscreen: Deals with day to day life. Runs a few businesses, sees petitioners, and is involved with the rebuilding of Dawnsport - a small port town where most of her army and the army's suppliers/support live.
Assumptions: She always dresses well, wears a minimum but effective amount of makeup, and her mood fluctuates from completely blissfully happy to vengeful harpy in a blink of the eye. Literally.
Thienna (Vinguld) Fen'Relah
Offscreen: After the death of Ythfas wife and son, Ythfas retreated to his tower. No one can enter. He didn't even come out after Thienna went into labour and almost died. Their child did. Suspicions ran high as everyone knew Thienna was Ythfas' mistress, so she used her rank within the house to take a decent sum of money and moved back to Silvermoon. There, she is working on running a small shop and single-handedly raising her adopted daughter, Stephanie (Nikusha) Vinguld.
Assumptions: Thienna is very young, but adult...looks somewhat like a red-haired, younger Shryn'Dael. She also almost always looks tired - but at peace with the world.
Vanista Nightfire
Offscreen: She prays, and works to resist the calling of the Lich King. She is still deep within a cell (not a literal 'jail' cell, but a monk-like room 'cell') in Feuergrad, waiting for Olaff's return.
Assumptions: She prays. She hates. She's a Death Knight who wars with her holy and devout nature and the cruelty that has resulted as a severing of her mortal values.
Maethori Whisperwind
Offscreen: Yo ho ho it's a pirate life for me!
Assumptions: WTF? This little twig of a kid is the Captain? A brutal pirate? WTF? OMG IS THAT A SPIDER?!
Liore Offscreen - He spends
Liore
Offscreen - He spends his time travelling and delivering parcels, hunting and trapping for trade. He enjoys exploring and sleeping. Pretty much doing whatever he wants. He's usually outside of the city when offscreen, usually puttering around the Badlands or in Feralas.
Assumptions - Liore is always armored. Always. The man has learned to sleep in it. His got a boyish, happy look to him, despite his scarred face, and is generally amiable until something or someone offends him. Which can be just about anything/one. Liore is fluent is speaking common, and reading/writing Orcish and Thalassian. and Despite his size and weight, he's as agile as any rogue, sometimes more so. Quiet is another story.
Elke
Offscreen - Training training training. Elke is always working hard to enchance his skills, or sleeping in the barracks when offscreen.
Assumptions - Elke has a more golden glow to his eyes than most other Blood Elves, And his build is slightly more broad then other elves. He's also quite short. 5'6". He might take issue with people pointing it out, even though his art gears him more protecting and healing.
"Nobody's a traitor until they are."
Ixinane
Ixinane Stormcren:
Offscreen – When she’s not off saving someone of her small circle from impending doom, Ixinane spends most of her time in her house in Feralas, she enjoys the rain and the company of both her wounded aged house rogue Gelis and her mad young priest Halodante. She spends a lot of time in her library, Ixi is a bookworm at heart, she enjoys most anything about obscure warlock magic of course, and troll lore, having a fascination with their rituals and their ways of life. She enjoys time alone and as much of it as she can get, or doing small ended odd jobs that get her away from the world of webs she lives in.
Each week usually in the dead of night she writes to Blackmarrow, telling him of everything that transpires, even if it is trifle, since he is MIA each letter goes in a drawer at her desk, kept securely locked and the key on a necklace with the frozen gem Blackmarrow had given her a while ago.
Once a month Ixi travels to the Zoram strand, nestled in the woods by the beach is the grave of her brother, she will spend a great deal of time there, or riding Skalim her dreadsteed across Tanaris, which is still one for her favorite places.
Assumptions – Ixi does not go for others easily, it takes a lot to become her friend and even more so her lover, a specific type attracts her, but she is exceptionally picky as to who it is. Rarely is anything she does not taken into consideration before hand.
Despite her monstrous tendencies, her soft spot is rather large, filling it is both Halodante and Mirien, both of which she takes on a rather odd caring motherly like role.
Halodante Di’sonnet-Stormcren:
Offscreen – Dante is rarely onscreen as of right now, but when the world settles in RL I tend to bring her back into view. Most days she spends on Ixi’s estate in Feralas, when Ixi is home the priest learns from the warlock a way of fighting, protecting from both herself and others, not magically, only physically, using the blind priests senses that have been heightened by her deformity. When she is allowed out with escort she stays very near Ixi’s estate, only venturing farther when the warlock herself is with her.
When Ixi is away, Dante attends classes with priests invited into Ixinane’s estate, each one teaching her the magical aspects of a priest where Ixi cannot help her, under the watchful eye of Gelis the priests takes her lessons, the rogue on guard from the teachers hurting Dante or Dante killing the teachers.
Assumptions – Though both she and her mistress are both mad, Ixi’s madness is containable while Dante’s is only controllable by Ixinane herself, who worked with great pains to get her there. Dante retains all her memories of the atrocities done to her, but Ixi keeps them in check.
She has no ties to anyone save Ixi, all others run the risk of being injured if the priest has a fit, Gelis included.

Character is what you are in the dark. One's true colors only appear once all the lights have gone black and hope has been snuffed out like a candle.
Faraji Most of the time
Faraji
Most of the time offscreen is spent with Sheshafi cooking, dancing, fighting, fucking, hunting, or meditating. He also has an old set of drums that he'll play when there's no other sound in the village, just to keep things feeling lively. He hates silence in all forms, for obvious reasons.
As for assumptions, even though he's small for an Amani, he's built with lean, hard muscle, and lots of it. His weapons of choice are his hands, as he's not too fond of his runeblade. Very rarely armored. Likes to go topless. Oh, and after his time spent with Shafi, he's covered from head to toe in a variety of scars. Looks rather like he was a cat's plaything for a while (he waaaaaaaaas).
Rhosyn
She alternates between her and Jim's hut in the Hinterlands or the Blood Knight Sanctum. She does her daily rounds and takes Quirk for a ride, and for the most part makes an effort to be scarce, when I'm offline.
Assumptions- She is, in a word, immaculate. Always. Hair is never frizzed out or stylized in any loud fashion. Nails are neatly manicured and never painted, clothes are clean and pressed, and she wears rose-scented perfume in tiny amounts. Generally smells like the rose oil and fresh linen. And she is always, always, always smiling. Even when she's scared or pissed off, she makes it a point to show those pearly whites (also immaculate).
Mai'jani
She's something of a loner. As a huntress, she pretty much spends all her time keeping her critters happy and fed. There's a reason Abeni is otherwise known as BOTTOMLESSPITCAT. Likes to wander. Shows up in odd places at odd times, no real rhyme or reason for it.
Assumptions- She's massive. Bigger than Faraji, anything but subtle. Her skin is also blue, which is odd for an Amani, but she'll pass it off as saying she spent too long up north. Also tends to carry random elfy body parts in her packs. They stick out at odd angles.
Darma
Pig farm. Always.
Assumptions- W.Y.S.I.W.Y.G. I imagine her precisely how the model portrays her. Only maybe a liiiiiiittle stockier.
Drog'thar Tidefist
As my newest character in game and my most recent faction transfer... I can only tell you that he'sdoing what the voices are telling him to. Whatever that might be, wherever that might be. They often disagree.
Assumptions- Depending on which spirit is speaking through him, he'll either have an accent, or his voice will carry a completely different tone. For example, his grandmother likes to take over every once and a while and introduce herself. He speaks with an elderly female orc voice in this case.
Alais'el Brightarrow
After all the crapola she's been through, she rarely is 'on screen' anymore. I've put her on the shelf. But I imagine what she's doing to cope with the loss of her two children at birth and the sudden absence of her former husband, she's spending a lot of time in and around Moonglade, training to become a druid and trying her best to keep going. Pretty quiet life.
Assumptions- ... well. She looks like she lost 2 kids and a husband.

Really simple
While I am off line, Shrilinda is preparing for the next adventure, whatever form it may be. This is why Shrilinda is always ready to go at anytime. So aside from actually doing the mundane stuff like fishing up her buff foods, buying reagents, buying flasks and keeping her repaired... ( usually takes about 15 minutes a day on the days that I actually have to restock ) Shrilinda is doing this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEUGF3NGbPg
Always looking to the horizon, wishing she was out there with everyone else doing all the cool things people normally get to do, yet stuck where she is because of obligations.
Assumptions:
If you put 100 ping pong balls in a giant paint mixer and turned it on while somehow managing to set it in the middle of a F5 Tornado, then you'd get her emotional state, which is constantly in flux yet usually set to boil because she hates always being left behind. It is because of that inner turmoil that Shrilinds will goto extreme lengths at times to do anything that lets her forget her dull existance, even if for an hour or few. Shril is subject to whimsical nonsense activities as well as childlike behavior with toy train sets or piccolo's that make others dance. Almost everything is a distraction and distractions are just what she's looking for.
Avaraelia
Avaraelia Bloodhorn-Volanthius
Offscreen - When not in Silvermoon seeking outcasts with darker desires, she's either overseeing the building of her estate, learning ways to twist Fel in Shadowmoon Valley, spending time with her 'children,' or spending time in various places simply watching and learning anything and everything she possibly can. Inquisitive by nature, she couldn't pass up an opportunity to learn something new if she tried. Occasionally, she returns to the Shadow Hold, the soon-to-be-disbanded base of the Felsworn, to train and write as well as gather most of them to her new home.
Assumptions - Slitted violet eyes watch the world carefully, a warm smile on her face despite often being deep in thought. She's considerably taller than most Sin'dorei because of a few recent changes, though always more than happy to talk to people. A large and somewhat sinister blade rests on her back, and she's usually followed by a few shadows. She's got a few Fel-based glamours about her, for those who are magically inclined, as well as a general feeling of wrongness about her despite her charismatic nature.
Nymuelyn
Offscreen - Reading, studying, and more reading. She's a bookworm at heart, and if she's not reading a storybook of some kind, she's studying anything that she can get her hands on that has to do with the healing arts.
Assumptions - She's usually always dressed in shades of red, which her skin often matches whenever she talks to others. She's shy and rather clumsy by nature, but she's always more than happy to help anyone in need.
Dedora Bloodmoon
Offscreen - Either she's getting to know someone quite intimately, or she's wandering the city looking for her next victim/bed-mate/assignment. On occasion, she can be found in some particularly well-lit corner, dismembering something mechanical. If on an assignment, she takes on the role required for such a thing, depending on what exactly is needed.
Assumptions - As Vixen, she's in particularly tight leather clothes, looking for beautiful things and beautiful people to take home and 'play' with. Tanis, on the other hand, often sits and simply watches people, studying them.
Raeril Amor'Laen
Offscreen - When not being a spaz in Silvermoon or some random Alliance/Horde place, this overly happy Quel'dorei is often meditating by any source of water. On occasion, she'll be studying anything she can get her hands on or finding new ways to play with Frost magic.
Assumptions - Her eyes are a silvery-blue, suggesting Kal'dorei blood somewhere in her family tree. Other than that, she dresses most often in shades of lavender and light purples, or other light colours.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Which do you fear most? The spell, the blade...or your own reflection in the mirror?
Taheteryna
Taheteryna Gurdraigh
Offscreen - She maintains a rigorous training schedule with some young would-be warriors and rogues as well as Cerwis F'Sharri. Alongside that, she tends to her duties amongst the Dragoons, including possibly running a spy network that may or may not in fact exist.
Assumptions - She is a very hard, stony-faced woman with next to no expressions, apparently very little humor and lots of knives. She loves her coffee and, in fact, has terrorized the Keep staff into providing her with coffee.
Iutu
Offscreen - A great deal of meditation, mentoring and socializing with those that choose to seek her out. She also gardens a little, cooks, works on her oils, salves and powders and helps Tzirak repair her armors. They tend to get beaten up fairly frequently.
Assumption - She stutters and is very graceful. Think Zhaan from Farscape only with a stutter. Most of the time, Iutu is soft-spoken and gently smiling.
Yshri Vinguld
Offscreen - She is either tending to the Conservatory plantlife, to the people around Vinguld lands or to her patients in Stormwind. She is also slowly making preparations for her impending marriage to Olaff Isenkopf and praying every day that he come home, soon and safely.
Assumptions - Since her psychic abilities are never fully under control, her emotions tend to be rather obvious and palpable. She also seems to glow with a literal inner light.
Nychkali
Offscreen - She's making bombs, testing bombs, using bombs and sometimes goes on a date with a Vindicator that had the balls to knock her out. Most of the time, she is accompanied by a very fat bear. When the bear is not in attendance, she has a muscled, dusky-furred wolf keeping his beady eyes on anyone coming within ten feet of her. ...Mostly to stop them from getting exploded. And the few moments that she spends NOT getting nookie or playing with explosives, she is working on either her chopper or her copter.
Assumptions - Her hair is off-blonde because of the near constant presence of soot from, you guessed it, explosives!
Bloop. Bleep. Bwoopity beep.
That is all.
Aurorana Offscreen: Aurry
Aurorana
Offscreen: Aurry can be found at the Temple performing normal duties or caring for orphan children, the majority of which are human. When not at the Temple, she sometimes travels to the empty Sabre's Hall to make sure its ready for their return. She meditates some, loves to take walks in places like Ashenvale or outside the Hall.
Assumptions: Aurry has a soft glow constantly, weither from herself or from the powers granted by Elune even Aurry doesn't know. She's shy around strangers, most especially men and seems to have no visible scars.
Aladiana
Offscreen: When not fighting, Ala most likely can be found back at the Exodar in the room she shares with Nuuliniir. She meditates, repairs her armor, works her blacksmithing, or is simply enjoying either quiet time or time with Nuul.
Assumptions: Ala is graceful in her movements. She's muscular, though not grotesquely so. She has a thin scar down one side of her face. Though normally very serious and focused in battle, outside it she's quick to smile and has a warm voice.
Breangwen
Offscreen: Brean spends almost all her time in the woods. If she's not actively hunting, she's likely with Meurig's pack. Her two cats, Tireithil and Isilme, rarely if ever leave her side. She practices forms, hunts, and tends to the pack.
Assumptions: Brean is tall, above average for a Kal'dorei woman. It's pretty much a given that if she is not in a active war situation, she's not in armor and likely not in alot of clothes at all.
Dwayberry
Offscreen: Dway is more than likely wherever her sister Mirianna is. If she's not there, she is probably somewhere in Dalaran, talking to apparently no one.. and trying to find where Mirianna is.
Assumptions: Dway is mental. Something in her past messed up her mind so that most of the time you are likely speaking more to a child version of her than the adult she appears to be. She's unstable, more so without Miri to calm her, so there is no telling what Dway a person will get to talk to.
Kooriia
Offscreen: Easy one. When not fighting, Koor is likely in a tavern or holed up somewhere.
Assumptions: Koor almost always has a distant look to her eyes. She speaks only when addressed directly and sometimes not even then. There is a smell of alcohol or other substances about her person.
Soulwyn Darkweaver
Offscreen:
Quite the norm, I would say, Soul to be exploring her newly recovered familial estates and testing the moral fluidity of the servants she finds therein. At least, enough so that the general public might hear word of her engaged in such mundane tasks. She will also take discreet personal time to visit with her most-welcome 'guests' kept in the labyrinthine catacombs beneath the lush oasis that lies above ground.
Assumptions:
Her public personae is neutral, yet approachable. She quite firmly reigns in her displays of emotion of any sort and should largely be assumed to be emotionally unaffected by most of those she is interacting with; unless otherwise stated.
Cyrcae Solanacaeae
Cyrcae Solanacaeae Bloodsword
Offscreen: Cyr spends most of her time either with books or with plants. Or books about plants. Transcribing books that are damaged and/or in danger of being lost forever is her strength when it comes to helping both the library at Silvermoon and the Scryer's Library at Shattrath. She also has some skill with repairing/re-binding old tomes. She tends a small private garden at an out of way residence in Nagrand when she needs to 'get away', and has recently come back to the Bloodsword estate to work the gardens there. This has expanded her repetoire of elixirs, potions, teas, oils, soaps, and other herbal remedies/products. So, despite being a hermit, she travels quite frequently between the two libraries, the estate and the private garden, and the orphanage in Shattrath. She's attempted to be more outgoing with people (instead of just plants and books) by attending some social events lately, such as Fancy Cakes and the Laughing Zhevra. She's prone to forgetting to sleep for days at a time, getting so involved in a 'project', and usually its Malkanas who has to gently (yes, gently) remind her that she needs to get some rest.
Assumptions: Cyrcae is both shy AND friendly, most of the time living in her own little world. She hums to herself frequently, and is usually content to simply sit and watch rather than get involved. Because of this, she may come off an unapproachable, or more often, just odd. She talks to herself, notices things that other people would likely never see,and has an annoying habit of never looking directly at whomever she is in conversation with. Just behind his or her head, a spot on the earlobe, a rabbit hopping along behind them... but very very VERY rarely directly at someone.
Be kinder than necessary because
everyone you meet is fighting
some kind of battle.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."
Lirriel: If she's in
Lirriel:
If she's in Icecrown, she's in Dalaran or at the Tournament, preparing for the next raid on the Citadel. Mixing elixirs and potions, transmuting materials, and sewing/patching clothing items, making new cloth, etc. She also spends time helping to heal injured Crusaders. Sometimes she goes to watch the jousting when she has a moment. Prayers and meditation occur when she wakes and before she goes to sleep, with shorter hymns and prayers through the day as she works.
If in Stormwind, she's splitting Dragoon patrols and duties with time at the Cathedral taking her turn healing. The prayers and meditaion schedule are the same as above. She also continues with the alchemy and tailoring above, as well as cooking. When she thinks no one sees, she's reading those dreadful romance novels Darlain got her hooked on, from that secret stash her husband totally doesn't know about, right?
Assumptions: Lirriel's usually pretty easygoing. She's rather petite (I've used pygmy potions before to show her as smaller than average). She mixes her own perfumes and scents, her favorite being peacebloom-based. Her educated speech has hints of her Elwynn farmgirl accent. She oftens sings or hums prayers as she works. Her use of the Light (and related psychic abilities) is usually disciplined and controlled. ICly, she doesn't actually carry or use weapons (though she knows how), nor offensive Shadow magic.
Daevra:
She spends a lot of time taking care of her brain-damaged sister, Raksasha. She also studies the arcane quite diligently, keeping her Elven books hidden from Sasha. She cuts gems and makes pretty jewelry. She also writes lots of love letters to Vasily, that never ever get sent, and are usually crumbled up and set on fire as not being perfect.
Assumptions: Daevra speaks Common rather well, and fights to hide her accent to be understandable. When highly stressed or emotional, it tends to slip. She's fairly professional and poised for such a young Draenei--at least until she ends up in Vasily's presence, and then she shows how very young she is with her teenagerish crush.
Lormar:
He spends most of his time working at the jewelry store Zaas tricked him into owning. He's finding he actually likes it (even when Nediva gets to making glitter; it sells pretty well to young girls, anyway). In his free time he likes to fish and tease his sister-in-law. There are times when Lormar is not online, but is tailing someone who is, usually one of the girls he keeps an eye on as a grumpy pseudo-father-figure.
Assumptions: Lormar strongly resembles Lirriel, though with different eyes and obviously, very male. He's also smaller than average, and narrowly built. he moves quietly and efficiently (which can startle the heck outta store patrons when he comes up to them). He does have a criminal past if one knows records and other such info, but he's also received full pardon and apology (level of detail known is variable). He speaks with a guttersnipe accent which may or may not be affected.
Alynore:
Prayers, meditation, weapon and shield training. A good deal of time is spent reading Azerothian history and current news articles to try to figure out what the heck is going on in the world. Dragoon duties and patrols take up more time, and then she cares for her horse and tinkers with her 'copter and other gadgets, and works on her enchanting.
Assumptions: Older teenager. Is at ease around Draenei and seems to understand many of their cultural aspects, while being less comfortable and certain of Night Elves. She seems to get along better with older people than those her own age, particularly boys. Has a decent knowledge of arcane magic for a paladin. Clams up and becomes colder toward known Warlocks, and Death Knights, while barely remaining polite. Hates the Horde, particularly Orcs, and Blood Elves (who she sees as traitors). Usually smells of engineering grease and powders, and perhaps a tinge of arcane in there from her enchanting. Wears a lot of Outland style clothing and materials, rarely anything from Azeroth besides her uniform.
Also, for anyone who was in the Outland Expedition/Sons of Lothar for all those years they were cut off, they may have heard of Alynore as one of the first Human kids born there. And/or they may recognize her as looking just like her mother, Kirin Tor mage Elsbeth Forrester, who went to Outland all those years ago.
Lilane:
Technically, most of her time is off screen. She banks, manages money, and works the auction house to make more money for her clients. She sometimes nags her fellow broker Yyva about her choice of work clothes, finding it unprofessional. In the late evenings, she studies her demonology. She debates researching this Shadowspark Institute she's heard rumors of.
Assumptions: A proper middle aged Gnomish woman in professional attire and a tightly managed beehive hairdo, with no hint of anything untoward at all, who manages her clients' funds in an efficient and ethical manner.

Daenyra
Daenyra Valeshade
Daenyra largely spends her time offscreen studying the deepest most obscure parts of alchemy. The Cenarion Circle is hesitantly in contact with her so as to aid her in her goal to restore Lordaeron and remove the taint that the plague has instilled in the earth. She can usually be found in the deepest basements of Nidhoggr manor, with the gnomish box and simmering cauldrons for background. Understandably she hasn't made much progress so far, but her efforts are intense often making her distracted. She tends to disappear for days or weeks at a time when she believes she is on to something, but where she ends up is a mystery.
Assumptions: Daenyra spends a lot more of her time not talking then talking, making her aloof, creepy or both. Daenyra, never going out of her way to get into bed with anyone, appears to be asexual, despite being more than attractive enough to be hooked up to someone. Her first response is an eyebrow quirk and physical manifestations of any sort of intimacy (like hugging) are extremely awkward.
Offscreen: For the past
Offscreen: For the past year, she’s been alone in the southern mountain range of Quel’Thalas honing her skills and working through some emotional turmoil, but her normal territory is the entire region of Quel’Thalas. Normal activities in her daily life would involve pretty much anything she fancies...climbing trees to hang out in for fun and sometimes spying on people, playing her flute (she likes how the notes resonate despite not playing all that well yet), playing with animals in the forest, swimming in the sea or various other swimming holes in the kingdom, fishing, culling undead and trespassing Amani trolls, collecting herbs, mixing potions, gardening, planting trees, rescuing newbs, bandaging the injured, hunting, checking her traps, robbing from the rich in Silvermoon/Eversong/Blackened Woods and giving to the needy folks of Ghostlands, running away from Peacekeepers.
Assumptions: She’s generally covered in a muddy camouflage and wears a foxhelm over her head. Being petite and slightly smaller busted than the average MMO female, she is often mistaken for a boy. Her demeanor is still somewhat child-like as well. She never speaks verbally to anyone which can often be misread as rudeness or shyness though she is a little shy. She understands Thalassian thoroughly, comprehends some Orcish, gutterspeak and Darnassian. She is rumored to be the best guide in Eversong and the herbs she uses and trades with tend to be of the upmost quality. When she decides to bathe and make herself presentable, the resemblance to her mother is uncanny enough for people to immediately recognize that she is Aurora Foxglove’s daughter. Her mother was an accomplished herbalist who tinkered with alchemy and was a professional performing artist specializing in poetry, singing, playing music on her flute or harp, dancing and companionship. Aurora’s mother was known to be an ambitious gypsy who married a wealthy merchant.
