The Name-O-Matic 5000: Gnomish Name Generator
(( The following is part of a larger work in progress called The Gnominomicon, which aims to be a basic reference website for roleplaying gnomes in World of Warcraft. I've decided to throw the name generator online early, for the benefit of players creating new characters (or recustomizing old ones) before Operation: Gnomeregan arrives.
So, without further ado ... The Name-O-Matic 5000!
I decided to create this because every fantasy name generator I've seen has been less than useful for Warcraft gnomes. Many just crib the D&D style names, and the few that are "Warcraft style" combine name segments in ugly and haphazard ways. I'm hoping the Name-O-Matic will break that trend and serve as a useful inspirational tool. It's also handy if you need a few quick names for NPCs, or minor characters in a story.
Most of the features should be self-explanatory. If you have a first name or surname picked out already, you can use the "Custom" setting to lock that half of the name and randomly generate the other half. The surname menu lets you choose the number of syllables, or a few specific styles that benefit the various gnome classes. Note that Javascript must be turned on for it to work, but as it's hosted on my personal webspace, there are no evil ad banners to worry about.
Give it a try, I think you'll be pleased with the results! If you experience any problems, feel free to let me know. ))

But...but...but....awww you're right. I really need to quit with the Ali names. It started out as a usfeul tool so that people could recognise it as one of my alts and now I can't even keep my own alts straight...uh...in order, few of my alts are straight, but that's a story for another day.
