Mount Names
(( Good citizens of RP-Haven, I come before thee this lovely morn with a simple query:
Do your characters' mounts have names? If so, how did they come by their handles ICly, and do they hold any OOC meaning or significance? (Okay, I guess that was a series of three simple queries, my bad.) I've heard a number of interesting and clever mount monikers over the years, but it's one of those details that often flies under the radar and fails to surface in random RP, so I thought it'd be fun to share.
Lineah chose the names for her two mounts, a white stallion named Helmer and a snowy gryphon named Gauss. OOCly, both names are German in origin -- Helmer means "warrior's wrath" and Gauss was chosen for its gnomishness, being a unit of measurement in physics (named after this guy, naturally.) It's also a little nod to the Gauss gun to complement the mech-punnery of the "Lineah Cannon" name. I also like the "feel" of both names and think they suit Lineah's character well.
Maggie Firebrand is the keeper of a charcoal-grey mare called Char, so named for her attachment to the element of fire. Being rather simple-minded, Maggie is not one for complex or deeply meaningful names.
Mag Latchet rides upon the back of a black silithid reaver called Stygiss. This is the creature's native name; Mag did not choose it. It's a combination of the word Stygian (referencing its dark color) and the -iss suffix used by a few silithid like Fankriss and Ayamiss.
Most of my remaining characters rely upon the classic mechanostrider and other mechanized modes of transportation (gyrocopters, mekgineer's choppers, etc.) While these could be given pet names (Eleanor anyone?), none of my gnomes have done this to date.
Your turn, let's hear those names! ))

I inherited an elekk named
I inherited an elekk named Scrap. I imagine Harri has named his horse, but I haven't bothered to think of one. ><
Sowelu Danea named her horse Hope as a reflection of what she prized. She was very proud of the girl.
Cerwis' main horse, the one
Cerwis' main horse, the one she loves the most, is named Eastwood. Her father named it because she was too young to actually name the foal when it was born on her farm, but she did help break the colt in later and he primarily became her mount.
Later on in life she picked up a mare from a farm by a river's fjord in Elwynn. The farmer had named the mare Redford, due to her coloring and the fjord the farm was near. He wasn't very good with names.
Her snowy armored gryphon is named Thrace, after the regions in one of the fairy stories in her book.
Reggie used to ride Redford before he was poking around in some Titan Ruins in Grizzly Hills and found an origin disk that happened to spring out a horse made of stars when he pushed a button. He quickly named it Astro. Astro is the only mount he has.
(( OOCly, I try to keep Cerwis' mounts as last names of semi-famous or fictional people. Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Kara Thrace (who Cerwis bears a STRIKING resemblance to personality wise (completely unintentionally). ))

Oooh neat question, now I can
Oooh neat question, now I can display my obsessive equine-based behavior.
Ole Hannevold is a Norwegian-based name, and so his two mounts also have Norwegian names. His (game: paladin mount) grey stallion is called Lars, and his regular mount (game: chestnut mare) is called Tora. Tora is actually the offspring of Lars and an imaginary mare of Ole's called Tamment. In my head (and in an upcoming drawing) Tamment is one of the (also imaginary) wild horses of Tanaris, a breed 'discovered' when humans eventually made it down that way. Her name means 'honey' in Berber, as she is a very light chestnut. So getting totally carried away with the real-world equivalent horse thing, Lars is a Spanish-style breed crossed with the North African type breed of Tamment and Tora was born - she's like a warmblood type.
You and I need to talk
You and I need to talk methinks. I've come up with a series of ficticious breeds in my head including the Westfall Draft (like a Shire), the Quel'dorei (possibly like an Arab), certain things in the south equivalent to Iberian peninsula breeds, while the Lordaeron heavy draft breeds founded some of the finer charger lines.
I too am an equine enthusiast. Former dressage rider ^.^
We should talk and make up funky lore for horsey folks!
What about Tanaris breeds sharing commonalities with the Queldorei type, or possibly being like the Arab-Akhal-Teke similarity and just bearing a huge resemblance. I figger elven horses oughta be a bit like Arabs. I used to write a blog for an unabashedly Beduin-inspired character from Tanaris, so I am HUGELY for a nomadic horse breeding people there. Given the upcoming camels, I'm tempted to bring her out of retirement somehow...
Meanwhile, I feel like I've
Meanwhile, I feel like I've forgotten everything I used to know. My mother was a groom for both thoroughbred and standardbred racehorses, and then helped to rehabilitate injured and sick horses, in addition to those we owned and boarded. While I sometimes do miss riding, it was never something I was as passionate about as she was. Perhaps partially due to Dad's disapproval and flat jealousy of the time and care the animals took.
I really enjoy horse-related blogs though (and stories and movies, etc), and have been wanting to see more Ole blogs about those horse races. :)

I've only ever given names to
I've only ever given names to Staroda's mounts, but that's mostly just due to not having thought of it for any of the others. His sabers are typically named after gods from mythology; currently, he rides Lokiel, named after the Norse god Loki. Previously, he rode Isis (Egyptian mythology.)
Shryn's flying wyvern's name
Shryn's flying wyvern's name is Velmerathu. Her Zhevra's name is Irispethianiathiel - or "Zhevra" for short. She named her warbear after the next Horde warchief - "Campfire." Or 'bear' for short.
The only mount who really has a name is Velmerathu, honestly.
Maethori's name for her hunter companions followed a really simple premise for a long time. Somethingbug. skitterbug, flitterbug, pouncybug, etc. Except for Prowly and Crabby (who was accidentally boiled and eaten by the ship's crew), her names were a lot like she was - immature. As she's grown up, though, the names have matured. We have Hawkiri now, the cat she tamed after Prowly died. :(
However, some things remain the same. The undead version of Skitterbug (one of those nasty screaming spiders, which was replaced with one of those dead spiders), is named ICKY.
Her bird's name is "Bork."
Sebastien, being a noble with
Sebastien, being a noble with a signifigant amount of wealth, once had many, many stables of Hawkstriders and other mounts. He presently holds on to a mated pair of 'striders since selling off and giving away much of his stables and ostentations outside the city to support Tranquillien.
First is an old warbird hen named Camilla (swift pink 'strider) and a cock named Bucephalus (swift green 'strider). Their chick, Telemachus (swift red 'strider), has become Seb's favored bird to ride into battle and even around town. Other than that, his magic carpet he uses for flight isn't particularly noteworthy.
The only mounts I bother to
The only mounts I bother to give names too are my Drakes and Proto-Drakes. Her albino drake Shelstraz, her blue proto-drake Terensag, her bronze drake Cronomaru, her green proto-drake Gargalstraz, her red drake Soliarista, and her mechano-hag which doesn't have a name but rather a advertisement for her taxi company.
In truth she didn't name her dragons, they named themselves since they are sentient.
On another note Sprigs doesn't name his mounts, but he has named his pet Turtle "Campion"
"To sing of finger bones and purple flowers."
((I've actually really
((I've actually really enjoyed picking out names for mounts over the years, it adds a little bit more to the character who owns them because the name comes from them.
Gåwåin first had a warhorse named Sligo named after his father's proper name(and a county in Ireland), when he was turned, so was his warhorse
His son Jåçk had a black Stallion he bought in Menethil harbor that he named after his father Gåwåin, because of the fact that his father had jet black hair and the horse was extremely loyal
Cynric, Jåçk's twin brother, named his warhorse Justice, because of the paladin tradition of naming their horses after virtues, things to do with the light, ((eg. Arthas's horse Invincible and Uther's horse Steadfast))
))
Rethelia named her
Rethelia named her even-tempered pinto Discretion and her felsteed Valor, though only the first part of that joke has really stuck. While these names are mostly for her own entertainment, these sort of character names she learned from her mother (whose horse was called Triumph). She has not named her palomino, dreadsteed, gryphon, or bear, as they are all creatures of more specific necessity and spend a good deal of time stabled/unsummoned.
Lonah's unintelligently brave brown horse is called Pocket. This was an accident. When asked what she would call it, she defaulted to Traveler, the name of a horse belonging to a person she would rather forget. Floundering at random to recover, she named it the first word to pop into her head afterward. She loves the crap out of that horse.
Lueli does not name the raptors she uses (she does not own one, per se). I don't think she knows how. Still, given the option, she will choose an emerald or olive raptor subconsciously, a reminder of a creature long ago.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you've got to be kind."

Cassandra was the name of one
Cassandra was the name of one of my RL girlfriend's cat. Beyond that I dunno why I picked it for Elrin's horse.
Akiri's raptor mount is
Akiri's raptor mount is named "Reptar" but could be mistaken for "Gogogogogogo!"
Animos has gone through a lot of mounts in his battle against the Scourge and he calls them all by the same name; "Expendable"
Melitza rides a white ram named "Snowball".
Aktarin's war tiger is Talah,
Aktarin's war tiger is Talah, for 'Death'. Ythgar's favourite stallion is Alphonse by his breeding, named to suggest Spanish blood from our world. Silence's mount hasn't been acquired as I wish yet (will be a Darnassian nightsabre) and will likely, like Aktarin's, have a Darnassian name indicative of what she intends to wreak whilst astride the beast. Gyrithrea's Winterspring Sabre's name is a series of grunts ending with a low yowl. As a druid, she felt it rather rude to name a creature anything but its own name, and if you can't speak cat, well... try harder.
I mostly name pets and mounts for my Kal'dorei based upon Darnassian ingame translations of descriptive words; thus Ta'Srith's dragonhawk pet was Ethala, or 'Trophy', representing what it was to her. Ythgar's naming patterns veer between Germanic and Spanish depending upon the beast in question - as I envision his breeding program basically producing Andalusians or Lusitanos, I use names suitable for such animals. With the exception of Akkie's raiding pets, I keep my Kal'dorei pattern pretty stable. Mush'ala the owl is I THINK 'feathery' or something.. but Amarok her lion is named for my own cat Amarok, and Parsifal the wolf is named for my parents' puppy.
Heulwen isn't really the
Heulwen isn't really the naming-things type! Maybe if she had a pet/mount that would respond to a name she would. Hawkstriders don't strike me (or her) as intelligent enough to do so >.> BRAIN THE SIZE OF A WALNUT!!

Most of Teledriath's mounts
Most of Teledriath's mounts don't have set names. As a respected person and military officer of the Horde, stables are made available to her whenever she needs transportation in an area that she doesn't have her own mount. As such, while I'm certain the various mounts she rides HAVE names, they're names that the stable-keepers have given them, not Dria.
However:
-Her Argent Charger is named Illum
-Her Albino Drake is named Snowflake
-Her Dragonhawk is Bloodhawk
-Her Thalassian Charger is Sanguine
-Her Mechano-Hog is Freedom.
I'm sure I named Niviene's
I'm sure I named Niviene's horse but I can't remember what it was. I have a tauren druid who named her first kodo Snowflake because it was white and I thought naming something as big and cumbersome as a kodo after a delicate snowflake was funny.
The only serious name I've given a mount is Paviell's horse Furion, no in game reason for it but I got it from Chronicles of Riddick. I thought it sounded like a good name for a death knight's horse.
Nearly every vanity pet across all characters and all servers have names, expecially the cats and I've always taken lots of care with the names of my hunter companions. My orc has a bat named Lugosi and an armored boar named Karloff (old school horror actors) and a shadowpaw named Vella after a David Eddings character. Again, no in game reason behind the names. Maybe that's something I'll look into for future mounts and pets.
The only living mount Gyvin
The only living mount Gyvin actually owns is Strider, his warhorse. Because he... strides. Gyv's pretty straightforward. He rode a trained nether ray, Biter, with the Skyguard in Outland, but relinquished it when the Northrend campaign started -- figured it would succumb to the cold. He also built an upsized gnomish-pattern gyrocopter he christened Eva after his late daughter, but it hasn't seen much use of late. He tends to stick to Alliance-requisitioned gryphons when he travels by air.
Nalathas rides Smoke (translated from the Thalassian, which I didn't want to make up), a gray-feathered war dragonhawk -- a play on the "where there's smoke, there's fire" thing. He also owns an ill-tempered black hawkstrider, Fleet (also a translation), which he rides only when he has to... generally in Silvermoon. The alternative is a bound felsteed, X'loz (pronounced vaguely like "slaws," though Nal never calls it by name).
Troggrinder calls his mechanostrider a slagging heap (sometimes translated from gnomish, sometimes not).
(( I admit to being somewhat
(( I admit to being somewhat of a compulsive mount namer... All my characters, if they ride something in character, have a name for it.
Faraji's raptor is Jiri, who I occasionally play as herself, and her offspring is Jiri Jr., because no one really seems to want the name the little fucker. He will generally refuse to ride his Archerus Charger on point of personal taste, and as such doesn't refer to it with a given name. He doesn't even consider it as deserving of one.
Uhhh Rhosy's Charger is named Charlie, because she's about as creative with names as she is with tea- she's not. She does however prefer her strider, an off-colored grey thing of enormous personality, Quirk. Not a name of her choosing, but rather how the Hawkstrider trainer referred to him when she was first browsing for a new mount.
Mai'jani rides her bear, who is also one of her combat pets, and his name is Ikinya, or in polite company, Fatass.
I do however pick pet names for my huntress based on South African dialects, so I have Abeni, Ikinya, and Hadhi. And her last name, Akina, is meant to mean 'family bond.' ))

((Locavera's mount of choice
((Locavera's mount of choice is Shiela, a venomhide ravasaur he raised from a hatchling in Un'Goro. He doesn't treat her as a pet so much as a companion, and they seem to have a mutual respect towards each other. Her name is a nod to Shiela the Tank from Red vs Blue. He also keeps a charger named Aidan, which has no meaning since I poped it out on the spot when somebody asked me about it. When he needs to fly, he often solicits the services of a bronze drake named Nuuladormi, after a(n?) rp friend of mine (Nuula) plus the female bronze dragon suffix (-dormi). I once reffered jokingly (and OOCly) to his Touring Rocket as the SIDRAT (Superbly Impresive Discontinued Aerial Transport) which is a refference to Doctor Who (TARDIS spelled backwards.)
Sonia sometimes rides a Celestial Steed named Sparkles (for obvious reasons), or a charger named Marcusandril, after her father.
Marcusandril himself, who is believed to be dead, calls his charger Carrie, which he claims is little more than a discription of her purpose, but OOCly is named after the Stephen King character.
Jozala has yet to name her raptor...and I'm feeling pretty unoriginal right now so I'm not gonna make anything up for her. XD))
Dar rides a Snowy Gryphon
Dar rides a Snowy Gryphon named Patience that she recieved upon returning to her homeland in the Hinterlands, due to arrangements made by her Wildhammer father before he moved his family to escape the Horde's push into the Hinterlands.
She managed to rescue a Hawkstrider egg from the isle of Quel'Danis, which she named Charity.
Sadly, though I often name my
Sadly, though I often name my character's mounts, I also often forget them and have to go back and search through blogs for them.
><
Lorith's horse - which I was so proud of getting pre-reputation changes - was named Amos. I do remember that. I believe her paladin mount was named Jeremy.
Tavlo's current gray stallion is named Dusk (how very original!) I named her hippogryph in a blog, but I can't remember what it is. ><
Neesy's talbuk filly (if talbuks have fillys) is named Muuta. Her bronze dragon friend also has a name, which I can't remember and would have to look up. She rode her pet Netherray Zaad for a while. Her snowy gryphon also has a name I can't remember. (I feel horrible, honestly.)
I think Artie's hawkstrider has a name. Not sure about her ray. She actually conjures her talbuk - it's not really real, so has no name.
I've always wanted to use one of those speak-and-spell mods and put in all the correct mount names so that my characters "call" their mounts. Great idea, but... I'd have to remember their names first. ><
And I wrap my fear around me like a blanket...
Although I don't think I've
Although I don't think I've ever referred to them by name in any blogs, a few of my mounts do have names. Mostly, there are no stories behind their names ICly, but they are all named after other horses OOCly.
Gav's horse is named Bucephalus. Gav will also use that as an assumed name, when one is required. I still remember him being introduced as "Sir Preston Bucephalus III" at one of Paxineau's parties. Since he always rides his chopper now, the horse has been passed to his wife Arylia.
Aldred's horse is named Smarty.
Astaali's nightsaber is a gift from the Sentinels for her service to them in Feralas, and is named Marengo.
Bellani has a war-wolf named Masinissa, which is not the name of a horse, but rather an ancient king who led elite cavalry in the Punic Wars.
Does Aldred's horse's name
Does Aldred's horse's name mean you won money in 2004? That was the last time I bet in a KD, and had MY money on Birdstone. I did NOT have my money on Birdstone, however, in the Belmont. Pft.

No, I don't think I've ever made a dime on any of the Triple Crown races. I just really loved Smarty Jones - a great horse and a wonderful story - and I cried like a baby when he came up short at the Belmont in the very last furlong. I still watch that race on Youtube all the time and it still brings a tear to my eye to this day.
Arkoros has ridden hundreds
Arkoros has ridden hundreds of mounts, but ultimately assigns them a number rather than a name. His Talbuk is named 801 and his Nether Ray is named 283, as both have very special meanings for me personally :)
Karamazov's faithful Elekk is named Moshe'dayan, after the famous cycloptic Israeli general.
Olaff's gryphon is named Crimson, and his horse is named Clover. Because I like the song and because it fits.
What about Olaff's bear?
What about Olaff's bear? Didn't she have a name?
Neun's first skeletal horse
Neun's first skeletal horse was named Aira, meaning "of the wind". Each skeltal horse afterwards has had the same name (new colors just means a new blanket, right?). Having recently aquired the Baron's Charger, Aira has joined Neun in Stormwind. She had an obsurdly long name for her Talbulk a while back, if I recall it was something like Reginald Fitzpatrick McWilliams III, I forgot it a while ago and haven't been unable to remember since. She used to place sunhats on it and ride it around Nagrand.
Dimssy has no name for her fire horse yet, she really wants to choose the right one. I'm sure I'll think of names for other characters main mounts as I roll them, it's remembering them that's the problem.
Nox's palamino is a stallion
Nox's palamino is a stallion named, "Halifox". He's a demanding horse which doesn't generally like males, but he still listens well, making it seem the orders fit his own fancy.
Crow's Talbuk is named, "Brittle". Short for peanut brittle. Her Elekk is an asthmatic runt, when sitting on it her hoofs can touch the ground if she stretches. It was give to her by a friend who raised them, because the custom for the area was to put them down if they weren't strong enough to charge into battle. His name is, "Teacake".
Flame had a name for his
Flame had a name for his original horse, Hasufel, and then called his first swift horse Shadowfax, both Lord of the Rings homages. If GS defeats Algolon, I'll name the celestial steed something and treat it as a more IC mount for Flame.
I haven't worked out what some of them are, but all his Drakes have names, given to them by their lineage. Currently nameless are most of the Netherwing drakes, the Black drake I recently got, and the Purple proto-drake.
Veridian Netherwing - Zoyin (Child of Zoya, the Veridian representative in Shattrath)
Red - Enlistrasza
Bronze - Selan'dormi
Albino - Anterion (The in-game mail which sent this one to me said the egg was from the black flight)
Blue Proto - Bootleather (Inspired by Codex Alera; there is a certain antagonism between Flame and this beast he took from the Ymirjar as a prize)
Blue - Yimlagosa
S.Fox only has one pet/mount
S.Fox only has one pet/mount ICly so far...the black wolf who serves as both pet and mount was originally named "General Brightsinger" by the wolf's previous owner: Ranger Lord Sheriff Huor's son who received the wolf pup as a gift from his father. He chose this name to spite Huor whom he hated and because he knew of Huor hatred for the Ranger General. Over time, the name was shortened to the nickname: "The General" though the full name was still used in his father's presence just to irk him. S.Fox inherited the wolf's loyalty after his master died.
I've only named a few of
I've only named a few of Lirriel's mounts; She's got 102 currently and not all of them are IC.
Her first palamino was a gift from a mentor, which she simply named Aurum. When Aurum was killed (there's a blog about it somewhere), the Kurenai gave Lirriel her first talbuk, Stripple. Since then, she's been breeding them, first in Nagrand, and now back in Elwynn, having a veritable herd.
Her gryphon is Quill. She ended up with the young red drake Telgorastrasz as a companion at one point, though with Mandy pretty much leaving the server, I may have him move on. I assigned a name to the Bronze drake, but would have to find it in my notes. The Netherwings she considers friends more than anything. Not sure about the rest of the flyers, though I think the Dragonhawk she'll have raised from a hatchling after Quel'Danas.
She actually "borrows" Cerwis' chopper on occasion. Haven't decided if some of my more exotic mounts are IC or not. The Baron's charger certainly isn't. Most times, when running around in Dwarven or Elven zones, I say the rams and cats are rented or borrowed, given Lirriel's reputations with everyone. I think the only one she really "owns" is the Winterspring kitty.
If I do go about naming more of her mounts (and pets!), they'll likely have appearance related, religious, or alchemical motifs to them.
Alynore's paladin charger is named for the virtue of Tenacity. She doesn't have a name for her flying machine.
Daevra's probably got names for her mounts, just haven't decided on them. Likely, gem-related names, given her jewelry crafting.
Lormar borrows from Lirriel when he goes out; usually a plain horse and Quill. Aerie will likely do the same.
Sort of wish we were able to rename companion pets and mounts, like a Hunter can name their pets. Maybe someday. It was a nifty feature of Total RP, but one of the very few extra features from that mod I used before reverting back to the lighter FlagRSP.

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy. She'll beat you if she's able.
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet.
Each and every mount and
Each and every mount and companion Sky has is named... I just wish Blizz would let us name our companion pets. :D
Rivendare's Horse, ICly, was stolen and given to him way back in BC before it became like... a huge boost in drop during Wrath (due to this I can't justify to myself using it anymore), and he named the stallion "The Nameless" because no name could do the horse justice. He simply couldn't think of any other name to call it by, nor would it tell him any.
His black war talbuk (And now Headless Horseman mount) is named Anezka, his loyal partner and mount from before he came to Azeroth. (Wait... Was that a spoiler? Fack.) But due to his horrific changes, she suffered in the process and also changed forms.
His warbear is named "23". This is more of an OOC tribute to what was known as the 23-Minute Raid. Back on Moon Guard (Before all the freak ERP things, the server was awesome, and this'll prove it) the Alliance had put together a raid and managed to kill Thrall. For weeks on the forums and in channels they were coaxing and tormenting Horde about it... So in a single evening, over 300+ Horde members went and hit every single city at the same time. It took these people exactly 23 minutes to down every Alliance Faction Leader at the same time, as well as Jaina... The guy who lead it was ICly caught by the Alliance and was put the trial. This also explains Sky's "23 Minute Rogue" title. Even in a different world/realm, he's still proud of being part of that, as am I. ^_^
His Venom raptor is appropriately named "Tanaris" because you spent more time there making the stupid thing grow than in Un'Goro.
My Mage Xevory has a sparkle pony... Named Taco. /facepalm I needed a name for it one night and a buddy of mine, the guy who plays her fiancé, was eating tacos.... I am sure you can see how that turned out.
I remember running you
I remember running you through Stratholme so many times for that danged thing. Only to have you finally snatch it like... mere weeks before the patch that hit and boost the drop rate. I was just as furious as you were. ;~; We got down to.. what was it...? Something like 5-10 minutes per run before resetting the dungeon?
Anywho, back to the main topic, one of my characters, who is not on ShC has tons of mounts he named. Out of all of them, I loved Bob the most. His time-lost Proto-drake. I believe his mate facepalmed upon hearing its name for the first time. Mostly because Bob was a perfect companion to the red proto-drake hatchling that plagued them named Steve. Loki never did like Steve. ): (Great story with Steve actually, we are at an IC wedding of a couple and Steve was out with them while they stood by the lake, when the preacher got to the point where they said 'speak now or forever hold your peace' there was a dead silence until the creepy singing voice of Steve came out due to all of those hatchlings apparently being given the baby murloc singing animation. Steve did not approve of the marriage.)
As for Sheggy, I suspect he'll be naming his chicken striders anything related to food. KFC comes to mind. Kargath Fried Chicken.
It is truly regrettable that a person will treat a man who is valuable to him well, and a man who is worthless to him poorly.

/facepalm @ Bob. And yeah..
/facepalm @ Bob.
And yeah.. Steve knew how to ruin the wedding, too bad they took out the singing noises now. ._.
Alenei's black hawkstrider is
Alenei's black hawkstrider is named Merit. It was the breeder's name for the nasty beast. If she wanted to make a pun, she would say that the bird's only merit is his name.
If I'm trying to be particularly imposing in role-play or I have Alenei's bear out to tank, she rides her armored brown bear Shatem, a large bear with a spiked collar. The bear carries a armored leather harness that looks like a primitive saddle.
IF I ever get to level 80, Alenei will get a Quel'dorei steed (name unknown), and the companionship of a red drake named Broetestraz.

Ezekiah's brown skeletal
Ezekiah's brown skeletal horse (yes, the basic level riding horse) is named Brimstone. Its really the same horse with a fancy saddle blanket if he's got to ride a 'fast horse', but rp-wise, he only rides the plain brown one.
