Hello everyone! In an effort to catalogue and galvanize Shadow Council roleplay through other avenues, the Shadow Council RP Wiki was formed to create an easy starting point and searching tool for those seeking roleplay opportunities on our server. It's purpose is to act as an encyclopedia for our characters, our events, and other miscellania, thus allowing everybody quick access to Shadow Council-related world-lore information. To succeed, however, this wiki needs your contributions and effort!

To help you create your article, there are many other existing articles available to copy formats from, and also a quick and dirty guide on how to create and edit pages to be found in the tutorial section. If the methodology behind wiki-writing is still unclear to you, helpful volunteers exist to help you out! (If you want to be a helpful volunteer, contact me also!) Remember that articles go in as encyclopedia entries, and not stories like how Haven handles it. Different kettle of fish, yo.
The link is up top! I hope you all give it a look, and hope even more than you stop to contribute a brief on your characters. An experiment we are trying out is the insertion of 'rp availability' on these pages to help others out in finding people to plot with. The first example of this can be found on Willimina_Spiderhawk's page, at the bottom. Thank you to everyone who has contributed thus far! The wiki needs more Alliance entries, and more guilds/groups articles. Like everything else, it also needs more cowbell.

Wow, awesome Ebe! I can't wait to sit down and write up a character page for Iloam. Do we need to create some sort of Wiki-login to make pages and do edits? One idea I had for the main page on the sidebar is there is a related links section - you could add that website with our characters actors on it. I dont have the link atm as I am at work.

I'll stare at the main page and give that a think. The problem with related links to the front is that the front is moderator locked, so users wouldn't be able to edit it. A more open page for such things would be preferable, I think. If not the front, you could just totally make something for it in the Misc. section too, since I haven't the foggiest as to what sort of stuff would go in there.

Good to know! For now Im writing everything in google docs before I move it over (and there is a LOT to write, sheesh). A little birdy told me the wikki editor isn't that reliable so its good to have a backup in case it gets eaten by the Internet Gods.

Bad connection ate my reply to you. tl;dr version is that I've been busy, because I don't work regular jobs, but rather have three to four independent projects and businesses that I attend to in various degrees of frequency. Lately it's been a lot. I'm glad you like the wiki, and I've actually been rather eager to see what contributions you have for it, :).

This is the old subject, before I rewrote it to be more general and timeless:
Hello Haven! It's patch day, and that's usually a dull evening for me. Usually I wander and do other tasks, which I'm certain is a similar experience for the rest of you. This time, however, I come with an activity. The Shadow Council Wiki is something I put together quickly a week or so ago, having greatly enjoyed reading the wiki pages and character profiles left behind from other RP servers. It's purpose is to act as an encyclopedia for our characters, our events, and other briefly explained articles, allowing us quick assess to Shadow Council-related world information. I've pre-seeded the wiki with some examples created from other players, and have written up a brief help guide on how to create your own articles, and would greatly enjoy seeing your contributions to the project.
I hope all of you give it a look, as I'm hoping it becomes a comprehensive effort in the near future, and a useful and fun tool for Shadow Council RP. If you have any problems with formatting, creating pages, or general inquiries, please don't hesitate to leave messages on my Talk:Eberict page, or contact me via PM here on Haven. I'm hoping to get a strong showing from the Alliance, as the present roster consists of a tree, a bunny, and a bearded lady (dwarf). If nothing else, it'll be something to do on patch days, :).

(I figured it out somewhat, and have a roommate who does a lot of wiki editing. I was just getting frustrated because it is something new that I have avoided in the past because I didn't want to get a headache. Well the headache is over and I am figuring it out bit by bit.)

Hey Havenfolk! Ebbsie and Shryn failed to mention me, which while a blow, I've shrugged off. I'm his second in command and current acting admin for the Wiki at the moment since I haven't seen or heard from him in quite some time. Just hopping on here to let you all know that I have updated the front page of the wiki and gone through making tweaks to the look and style and will be doing more changes over the next few weeks!
We still need user contributions from both factions, so spread the word best you can! Like was said, we don't take full blown stories, that's for the Haven. What we will take are third person views of the story if it's more than just a daily blog type post but a story-line that has spanned some time.
