How were moderators selected?

The original moderators were selected by the site administrator (Noctifer) based on faction and interest in building a strong, positive community of Roleplayers on Shadow Council. Three people who play primarily Alliance and three who primarily play Horde were chosen, but they are still community moderators regardless of which faction they are playing or what character they are playing. The position of community moderator is a purely OOC position, with no impact on the characters we play online.

Subsequently, new Moderators were chosen from volunteers, based on their ability to remain cool under fire and work as a facilitator, not a divider in the RP community.
