How do I manage my Group?
On the Group page (when you click the link for a group you manage under "My groups"), you'll see several tabs across the top and links in the right hand column that you can use to administer the site.
Using Teamtables
To use your Group's teamtable, edit the Group page and place the following in your Welcome message where you want the table to appear:
[teamtable:XXX]
XXX is the number of of your group. You can find this number in the URL of the edit page (i.e. http://www.rp-haven.com/node/XXX/edit).
Click the submit button and your table will appear on the Group page.
Configuring the Teamtable
To administer the Teamtable, click on the configure team table view tab. You'll see a list of members with several options. For each member:
- Enter a Name in team if you want a different name to appear for the member on the Group page. We do recommend you avoid doing this, its much less confusing to just leave the name of the member their login name.
- Select a weight that will determine in what order your members will appear on the Group page. The lower the number, the earlier in the table the member will appear. Members with the same weight will appear alphabetically. For example, if Peter and John are assigned a weight of "1", Matthias and Mark a weight of "-1" and Judas Iscariott a weight of "-10", the members will be listed as "Mark | Matthias | John | Peter | Judas Iscariott."
- If you don't want a member to appear on the table, check Hidden at homepage? They will still appear in the list of subscribers when a member clicks the Subscribers link in the right hand column.
- If you want to assign the member as the Group's manager, click the admin:create link. Note that this will revoke your management rights to the group. Group pages can have only one manager.
- Enter a description for the member if you wish. Typically, this will be used to display rank within a guild or a title for the member. Keep it brief, however, the team table won't give you much room for text.
- The Upload new picture functionality is not currently working. You will get an error if you try to upload a picture. The Moderators have contacted the creator of this module and we should have a new version in a few days that uses the Member's user picture on the teamtable. Because of this, we are not allowing administrators to upload new pictures for their teamtable.
- When you're done, click Save changes.
Adding and removing subscribers
To access the full list of subscribers, click the subscribers link in the right hand column. For Group managers, this will display several operations on the list tab, including edit group (next to your own name), unsubscribe to remove a member and admin:create to make that member the group's manager. Note that this will revoke your management rights to the group. Group pages can have only one manager.
