Honoring Alliance Towns - Kharanos

This forthcoming Friday, June 25th at seven o'clock Goblin Servo Time, the Commonwealth guild will host its fourth event to honor the people, contributions and history of smaller Alliance towns.  This time we'll be paying tribute to the snowy settlement of Kharanos, with a specific focus on the gnomes who have lived there in the years since Gnomeregan's fall.  We'll be meeting outside the residence of renowned inventors Ozzie Togglevolt and Razzle Sprysprocket.

The festivities will begin with a bit of mingling, followed by a brief speech about the town and its history by Lisa Graviton.  At approximately half past seven, it will be time for the first of the evening's two key events, a very special tinkering trial!  In this event, teams of participants will show off their innovation by improvising an invention from a selection of available parts.  As the contest will be judged on creativity and not professionalism or functionality, everyone who attends is invited to participate, even those with no engineering experience at all.  The members of the winning team will receive a bit of extra spending gold.

Following a short break, the evening's second and final event will be a ceremonial bonfire at the Midsummer Fire Festival's ever-burning flame, symbolic of the enduring hope of the gnomish people.  Bring some wood to throw on the fire, as well as your smorc ingredients!
