Rya's Journal

Simple dark leather wraps around the golden parchment of the little journal held shut by a strap tied at the side. There is some obvious signs of use on the binding and corners, even some discoloration in spots and ink marks. In the bottom corner bright silver letters are imprinted; MSB, standing for the name of the owner.

After pulling the string from it's loose knot and unwinding it from the cover, some pages try to fall from the binding; a few pages obviously came from other books or did not seem to belong. Upon opening to the first page, simple cursive letters write.

To my daughter, Moriurya Sunblade Brightsinger, from her mother on her death bed, Drazlyn Sunblade Brightsinger. May her heart speak within these pages and reach me whereever I may be.
