An Invitation to Tea
((Written in an elegant, flowing hand on good quality paper))
Miss Sowelu Danae,
Stormwind
My dear Miss Danae,
It was so very nice to meet you at the Keep recently. Please accept my invitation for tea, I'm sure that we have many things to discuss that would be to our mutual benefit.
Sincerely,
Belmilia, Lady Howell
I set down my pen and sanded the invitation to blot up any excess ink. Our young Judiciary seemed to have acquired an unfortunate tendency to think herself above the advice of her betters. She could be easily disposed of, were it not for her equally unfortunate habit of acquiring powerful friends. With luck, she would prove as easily corruptible as the others I had swayed over the last several months. A noble here, an official there, all prey to their petty lusts and weaknesses.
Or perhaps not.
I tapped the quill against my chin and nodded thoughtfully. Perhaps Miss Danae would be made of sterner stuff - it had been quite a while since I had faced a worthy opponent. But no matter how formidable, there would be weaknesses; there always were. Always a chink in the armor.
And finding those chinks could be most amusing.
Ah, Miss Danae, what are your weaknesses, I wonder? What hidden scandal will I find that will allow me to bring you down at my leisure?
I think I shall relish that moment when you realize your impending disgrace and I see the horror in your eyes. Swords and spells may be useful against some foes, but they are impotent against others. Perhaps those friends of yours will be your downfall instead of your salvation. Wouldn't that be delicious?

Verrah interesting.
Your last paragraph is most intriguing.
All I can say is... 'We shall see.'
Yes... we shall certainly see.
