Ghosts & Dreams

Ghosts.

They followed him everywhere, plaguing him nearly every waking moment.

Normally, he can keep them at bay, or at best, muted. But today, one of those ghosts have been silenced. Potentionally for a very, very long while. Rethelia Fallowtide, at one time a student, but almost always a friend. He found something of an old wisdom in the young woman at times, but had feared the worse when he had gone Elsewhere on the Other Side. But those fears had been laid to rest as a chance encounter on the bridge between the Park and the Mage Quarters. There had been smiles, a few chuckles, but mostly catching back up. He then told her of his plans for a school. Too many had fallen to the wayside. Too many young had wasted their lives for pursuits they barely understood. And for that, he blamed others like himself. Teachers. Trainers. People who were supposed to be knowledgeable and wise.

After his talk with her, and his odd version of an interview, he believed himself to have found one potential candidate for a teacher. And she was even able to give him another name for a potential. A druid by the name of Talth, supposedly of the unconventional sort. All that was left was to track this individual down and to see if he would be as fit as Rethelia said. Not that he doubted the woman, he just wanted to meet potentials in person. After all, if he were to get this school up and running, teachers other than himself will be needed. Otherwise, the Academy of Stormwind will be nothing but a dream.

((After a fit of a night

((After a fit of a night with half sleep, I've spent the more coherent parts composing a flyer for advertisement.  Keep your eyes peeled.  Shouldn't take me too long to make.  But then again, I am only half waking right now.))

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies—God damn it, you've got to be kind."

-Kurt Vonnegut
