It was a simple glance and a newly remembered memory that lead Aurry to be sitting with an older Sentinel, her eyes lowered after having told her story.
“You have always lead with your heart, child. Even the time you tried to run away and I found you.” The woman sighs. “I would say the first thing you need to learn is how to listen.”
At Aurry's frown, the Sentinel raises a hand to stop the much younger woman from talking. “No, Aurorana, honestly listen. I have watched you long enough in your life to know you hear the bad first and then block out the good. Take your conversation with the Shan Navires. All you heard was the negative. You did not hear how she is impressed with your abilities at all.”
Aurry remains silent, trying hard to listen and understand, wanting badly to improve herself.
“You need to understand that these women all have more experience than you do and can help you. What they say may hurt at times, but it's those times you should ask questions to learn. You need to also let yourself hear the praise they offer you as well, so that you can learn from it too.”
Aurry nods again, blushing at the truth she hears in the words.
“Now, you wish to be a better soldier, but you seem to think it revolves around fighting. Yes, that is a big part of it and you would do well to learn that and tactics, but there is more.” Aurry raises her eyes, curious despite everything that has made her feel like a lost child recently. “There are procedures to follow. Let me ask you this; Did you write a report for the Warden?”

Aurry sits some time later at the desk in her room at the Temple. Everything is so fresh in her mind, all the conversations, all the images. She doesn't want to describe them, but she wants to do right.
Warden,
I am sorry I have not done this before now. I honestly was not aware that writing a report was something I should do. I will try and do better in the future.
All of this started for me when Tamlin and I had a discussion about his plans to go after a demon. I was only aware that he had, in the past, been harmed by the demon and that he had plans to find it. I also knew that he planned to go alone and I did try and ask him not to. When it was evident that he wouldn't, I made a plan to simply try and make sure he did not come to any harm. I did not inform any of of either plans.
A couple days after he had left, I made my arrangements and then sang to the trees to get help in tracking him. With their help, I was able to find burnt human remains in the Swamp of Sorrows, which I buried. I also found wagon type tracks that lead to the water. Since there are no trees in the water, I approached Iutu for help. She agreed to talk to the water spirits and later insisted that she go with me. Tzirak also volunteered to help.
We followed what the water told us to Azshara, where I again sang to the trees. While doing so, a man named Tyne showed himself to me. He says he is an Ancient and I have talked to him before. He tried to tell me to wait for him and Mairead, but I do not trust him. Iutu, Tzirak, and myself continued on and where later joined by Tyne, Mairead, and a human warlock who I think is named Inimcas.
We were talking about how best to proceed, when bombs and shrapnel fell on our heads. We all took hits from it, including our mounts. We ran for shelter and there was jumped by some demons. Tzirak and the others fought them quickly and we heading for a ramp like ravine that headed into a cave.
In the ravine we were shot at. Iutu took an arrow in her throat but got up. I took one in the arm and I think Mairead got hit too. We fought those demons until the human Inimcas set off an explosive and we had to run from the rocks falling on us. We ran into the cave where we had to walk through some really odd darkness.
On the other side, we found two doors. They opened and we were hit by a black lightning. Behind one door was Tamlin, the other had a demon. Mairead went after the demon and I don't know what happened there. I went after Tamlin to try and help him but he didn't appear to see us. I think he thought we were the enemy because he kept swinging a sword at me that never touched me. Tamlin was in a very bad state, it is obvious he had been hurt. I did the only thing I could thing of and tried to heal him, which he fought. He made his way to the cave entrance that was now blocked with rocks. Once there, I managed to sit on him while he was clawing at the rocks to get out. When I tried to heal him, I discovered the demon had put something bad in him. I tried to fight it there, but was unable.
Iutu opened a gate thing, which she, myself and Tzirak carrying Tamlin went through. We took Tamlin to Wrymrest Temple to get help. While there, I had them give him a potion to knock him out, then with the help of Navires, I took the bad organ out of him and set the souls free that where in it.
I did not inform any commanders before any of this and I did not think to ask for the Sentinels help. I risked Tzirak and Iutu's life and I am very sorry for it and for snapping at you about it. Soto has already talked to me and I will talk to her again shortly with what I think my punishment should be.
