Culling's Genesis

*Somewhere within the Eastern Plaguelands men and women were dying. Their eyes wide in betrayal and horror, disbelief even. A singing blade with no mercy cut down both man, orc, dwarf, gnome, whatever donned those colors.*

"Look at you, child, the would-be wielder of souls...you cannot fathom the power that lies at my command!"

The woman ignored the deep voice rumbling in the front of her mind as she froze several of the Dawn in place, their faces sealing in the horror of one rogue Ebonite slicing through their marrow.

"You desire to serve Azeroth by ridding it of the Scourge. You do fine, but you cater to the Alliance. You are not true members of the Horde. MY Horde. Good bye, traitor."

With those words, a howling wind of plague and frost froze a cadre of Orcish calvarywomen and shattered them in place. The ground defrosting quickly, fragments of blood and bone freshly laid upon the apron of the earth.

"I see you too are gathering souls for your own ends. Are we realy so different, Champion?"

The Ebonite clad in heavy armor, yet identifying features clad with cloth wrapped over the armor; so as to shroud them from recognition. She pointed the end of her glowing axe near their fragmented corpses, a soft hue rising to the blade as smoke from a cigar.

Days later......

In Dalaran, signs posted up in the Sunreaver and Silver Covernant inns, banks, and other offices depict a shadowy figure who slain fifty members of the Argent Dawn back south. It read..

***MURDER! TREASON! DECEPTION! A shadowy unidentified figure is wanted for the killing of fifty valourous soldiers of the dawn. Five from the Horde, and twenty-five from the Alliance were all slain near Stratholme. They included the wounded from the city campaign there, as well as Calvary on patrol from Light's Hope Chapel. IF anyone has any information, please report it to their Local Argent Champion! A reward if the figure is caught alive!***

They eyed the sign silently, bright azure eyes fixated on the post.

"More souls...yes, more...you will find it hard to stop, mortal."
